The Most Brilliant Geek Troll I've Ever Seen

This is how you troll your geek friends, everybody.
THIS RIGHT HERE:
[standing up and applauding]
Thanks, Kendall J.! Live long, and may the Force be with you.
UPDATE!- This was made by Megan and Kendall of Short North Piece of Cake. And it was definitely intentional. Absolutely amazing work.
Thank you for using our Amazon links to shop! USA, UK, Canada.

Space, the Final Affront, here.
That just has to be intentional. No way it could be that accurate and that inaccurate at the same time!
But that's a perfect Millennium Fal... Oh.
The case of two rights making a wrong.
But seriously, that ship did pretty good agains the Reavers.
;-)
I'm hoping this was intentional. I NEED this to be intentional, because that would be awesome.
Also pretty decent Millennium Falcon cakes should not be wasted so carelessly.
I can see their geeky eyes twitching now....
I mean, it's not a bad looking cake, just unfortunate spelling...
Ok, so for those of us who are lost... What's the problem?
@Christina C: It's a PERFECT replica of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars, but the name of the ship is from Star Trek. Somewhere, a geek's head is exploding.
Needs more Dalek.
This really brought out my evil side. I absolutely want to get this for my husband for his birthday now. Heh, heh, heh....
(Although, he really loves Stargate. How can I screw that up?...lovingly, of course. How can I screw that up and give him an aneurysm LOVINGLY?) ;)
I think I will get this go my husband's birthday. Lol
Watch out for Spock and his Volkswagen pinch.
Oh, my dearest @Christina C., the "ouch" factor is that the cake is a beautiful and accurate rendering of the Millenium Falcon, lead ship in the Star Wars universe. However, it is labeled, "U.S.S. Enterprise", which is the lead ship in the Star Trek universe....someone has cross-mated the two series. Which is guaranteed to drive both StarWarriors and Trekkers insane.
Sort of like mixing Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, or Indiana Jones and Lara Croft, Tomb Raider....
But will the dilithium crystals blow if it attempts a 12 parsec Kessel Run??
Λυπούμαστε, geek για να σας, αλλά Έλληνες για μένα.
@Sharyn and @Photojenic -- brilliant!
When I saw this I said, "AAACCCKK!! They're crossing the streams!!!"
ahhh it took me a moment to notice...need more coffee :P
@Minda:
A perfect replica of the Stargate with a DHD-shaped cupcake... labeled "Quantum Leap"?
I had to wait until I saw the first few comments before I twigged *hangs head in shame*
Mel? Bwahahaha!!! (I had to use google translator...)
Putting an "NCC-1701" on the Falcon itself would have been a more subtle way to do it.
@mel: You are the best! I had to use Google translate, so I'll pass it on to the ones who didn't catch it. I did recognize it as being Greek, just couldn't read it.
"Sorry, geek to you, but Greek to me."
@D and @mel - LOL
My 11-year-old just stared at this saying "But... but... but..." for about three minutes, then walked away shaking his head.
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away…
These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise, it's continuing mission to fight battles against the evil empire, to seek out secret plans of the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the Death Star, to boldly use those plans to save their people and restore freedom to the galaxy.
This also reminded me another painfully hilarious example of crossing the streams... check out this classic clip of Spock singing about Hobbits:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGF5ROpjRAU
(The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins, sung by Leonard Nimoy, in the 60s)
This reminds me of that pic that went around a while back with Patrick Stewart.
Love it!
When I saw it, though, I wondered if it would become an Epcot situation. Glad wiser heads have prevailed!
@Minda; LOVE your idea to lovingly give your hubby an aneurysm. Maybe a cake with a theme of Disney's Atlantis, labeled Stargate, SG1? Just a thought.
@ Mel: BRILLAINT! (λαμπρός)
Ah Mel, what good Greek you speak! (I lived there for years!)
This cake shows why you should never cross the streams and I'm really ashamed to admit how long it took for me to see the problem...I'll go sit over here out of the way.
This has to be intentional; I mean COME ON.
That was an awesome Tardis cake.
I thought they were supposed to be green though, like all phone booths in Germany.
Insert nerd rage here.
@miss_paper, can't you just see Sheldon Cooper doing that right about now. Would be a great episode on The Big Bang Theory.
I guess I'm not enough geek to immediately recognize the problem. "Wha? But it is spelled correctly!"
@Minda:
How about this? Get him a pretty good Stargate cake with lettering that says "The answer is 42"
Or "Aim to misbehave!"
Or, simply, "Frell! It's your birthday AGAIN?" (Farscape reference)
@ Minda
Stargate, but instead of "water" the eye of Sauron. Or, sub Stargate symbols with LOTR elvish characters.
After all, weren't both battles over who was the Lord of the Ring(s)?
**falls out of chair laughing**
OMG that's too hilarious! I agree with Emily that it must be intentional. Awesome troll!
@Minda, get a cake featuring the Serenity crew from Firefly in SG1 uniforms fighting Jaffa. ;p
Aaaaaaaaaack!!!!
Beautifully done, though. For all the work that went into this, I certainly hope it was deliberate.
Somewhere, a Wookiee is howling, perhaps with laughter. Since I don't speak the language I'll never know for sure, but no doubt Troi would be able to tell...
Now that needs a Picard facepalm!
Kendall J., I don't think you appreciate what you've got.
(pulls out deadly spatula/whisk)
I call it Vera. It is my very favorite. I want to trade you!
Actually, it's even worse than that, I think.
The proper designation for the Star Trek ship is NCC-1701 Enterprise. The USS Enterprise is the retired US Navy Aircraft Carrier.
We've all gone over to the Snark Side of Discourse.
*twitch*
I love that the true geeks (self included) added Doctor Who and Firefly :)
<3 <3
The post is classic, the comments are even better. My mom would be the person who could have ordered that cake...
It's a little known fact that "USS Enterprise" was the code name for the Millennium Falcon when it was owned by the Dread Pirate Roberts.
Was this cake for a brownshirt or a redcoat?
This particular geek LOVES this. I wish someone loved me enough to troll me this way. LOL
This cake could be a little more sonic.
Omg cant believe our cake is on Cake Wrecks! Bucket List! I submitted this cake. My name is Kendall J. Cake was made by my coworker Megan Anderson at Short North Piece of Cake in Columbus Ohio. I helped her with some of it because I am the resident Star Wars expert. She kept calling it the USS Enterprise just to mess with me so we had the idea to mess with others the same way. We totally got her boyfriend as well. We were calling it nerd rage hahaha. Thatnks for putting us on here!
@minda... You have a stargate, with a TARDIS poking out... Gandalfs head is sticking out of the door, and he is pointing his light sabre at Voldemort, who in return has set his phaser to kill. Mal Reynolds is driving in in bumblebee, with Lara croft riding shotgun and wielding mjolnir.
@D and Maureen:HAHAHAHA. Love it, throwing some more classics into the mix!!! Fluffy Cow too!!! I must be a total geek, I get each one of those references!!! LOL!
@ mel: You no know SciFi? You had a deprived childhood...I'm so sorry!
@Sharyn: BRILLIANT comment, in few words, you out awesomed everyone!
@Seabird Nah, I think they put a Mr. Fusion in.
