7 Back-To-School Cakes That Shall Not Pass

School's back! Yay!!
Now, how do we sign these bakers up?
(Or at least you were.)
Yes, really. Another one.
And a special shout-out to all of you heading off to college, like Andy here:
Congrats on being "excepted"!!!
Thanks to Cindy C., Michelle M., Hayley, Amanda M., Susan, Tanya, & Erika P. for the "exceptional" work.

Learning how to rock!
Geological time scale

Are we sure the "Back to Skool" one with the green worm on top wasn't on purpose? It seems like it might have been "ironically" misspelled.
I think the one with the apple that says, "Back to Skool" was done on purpose.
Sung to "Don't Stop Believin""
Just a small school cake
How many mistakes can they make?
Add an apostrophe
Do it every time....
"Are teacher." Boy oh boy...
Brings a Wreckerator joy
Forget the N in "An".
Do it every time
The kids are going back to Skool
Spelling rules can be so cruel
For a while, thought the time was right
But the year goes on and on and on
Students walking. Up and down the corridors.
They Imagin Acheiving all their dree-ee-eams
College freshmen
Struggling to define the notion
"Excepted?" But, what does it mean?
(Instrumental interlude)
Don't stop the wrecking
Never start spell checking
Bakery people
Ho, ho, ho...
Don't stop the wrecking
Never start spell checking
Bakery people
Ho, ho, ho...

School starts here tomorrow, and I'm going to be in serious withdrawal. I'll be driving car pool when Cake Wrecks goes up. I'll have to wait a whole 15 more minutes for my morning fix! Oh no!!!
What Andy doesn't know is that this cake wasn't a mistake, he actually has to sit by himself the whole semester...
Bakers motto - i before e dus not apply to me 'cos I no need too spel u c.
Maybe #6 was a homage to the original wreck.
Yeah, that's the ticket. Let's go with "homage."
In all fairness to the baker, I would expect that the "Back to Skool" is deliberately misspelled to give it that cute little kid who can't spell vibe.
"Ahhhhhh! That's the visual equivalent of nales on a chalkbored," screeched the techer! ;)
I am going to pretend that the bakers all purposely made these grammatical and spelling errors to be ironic. I need to pretend this.
I thought the last one said, "excapted" which obviously means his cap wearing privilege has been denounced...even though he's wearing a cap
I'm so jealous of all you parents out there with kids heading back to school already. Mine doesn't go back until September 2nd!!! That's 13 more days just in case you're counting. *sigh* Now I'm all depressed. Good thing I have @Sharyn's song to get me through the day! I'm gong with Imagin, Dream and Acheive being the names of 3 prospective students. I've seen some interesting names in my kid's yearbook! It could happen!
Not only does linguistics suffer here, but also length. The ruler in the first one is missing an inch….
In the first cake the incorrect ruler bothers me more than the misspelling. Try measuring anything with that puppy! Oy!
Wee bakkers dont nees no fanci buuk learnin...
The Back to Skool one is really cute and seems to me that it was spelled that way on purpose.

I thought at first that Andy's cake said "Exempted," as in, he tested out of some of those remedial compulsory courses they love to inflict on the college-bound - that would still be a cakeworthy achievement :)
I thought that Andy's cake was just acceptional!
My kiddies return to skool on Weds 3st Sept. My youngest starts kindergarten *sniff*
Johnny Cache - you beat me to it!
@Jodee, if it's any consolation school (and daycare) starts on September 8th where I live. Almost three weeks left. And yes, I'm counting.
Ore teacher. Does that one teach about mining?
@Sharyn, you picked one of my favorite songs!
It would be nice if that "Back to Skool" cake was an Invader Zim reference.
I think ALL of these cakes were intentionally made the way they were. I'm a cake pan half-full kind of gal.
I have to agree with the others who have said that the "Back To Skool" cake was misspelled on purpose. That one looks like it's more of a Sunday Sweet than a Cake Wreck. IMHO, of course.
We are teacher. All your school are belong to us.
I like the Back to Skool cake, even if it looks more like a red pumpkin than an apple.
Okay, I"m going with the rest of the Epcots; Back to Skool was intentional.
What is that thing lying on the ruler supposed to be? It's driving me crazy!
I'll add to the Epcot and say that Back to Skool was on purpose and is actually decently done.
But what does the wobbly light saber, on the first one, have to do with school?
I think red wobbly thing is a pencil...not sure why the pointy end is brown...oh wait! It's a Number TWO pencil...bwahahaha
Yes, 'skool' is deliberate. It's a standing joke in Britain, as in 'old skool' music. This is how you spell it when you're really making a mistake.
The first cake looks like the sentiment should be "school daze".
And after reading the title of this post, is anyone else hearing the Black Knight saying "NONE SHALL PASS" in their head?
@Kim: nicely done...I got the point....
The apple and worm are so cute!
Congartiations, Adny at bing excepted to collage!
First cake - ruler or
graduated cylinder
with a cannula?
I think that originally Andy was placed on the waiting list of his preferred university/college, but then an exception was made and he was admitted; the cake is perfectly correct!
Some math.....#2 + #4 = mini-parody:
Q: Are we not wrecks?
A: We are tea-cher!
Are we not Wrecks?
S-K-O-O-L!
Where are kids going back to school in August?
I think the second inscription is fine! (Or at least not coarse.)
Okay, so the Royal We may not be appropriate (although Princess Diana was a kindy teacher, so there's probably another teacher from a royal family somewhere on the planet), but "We are teacher" seems like a majestic (slightly pretentious and imperious) way to introduce one's self to one's new class. Just before explaining that students must remove their shoes and approach you on their knees. Pity the sentiment wasn't executed in a formal, prim, upper-class-schoolmarm font.
Teach kids creative
spelling but no penmanship.
Thay two can make wreks!
@Andrea - Here in SC the kids started back to school, and my nieces in Missouri and Indiana have already started. A September start date is just a fond memory in much of the country.
@Kim, that was fantastic!
@Andrea, I know for certain that at least some Texas and Arkansas kids are going back to school in August.
Even if "skool" is intentional, I'm betting they didn't mean to put holly leaves and a pumpkin stem on something that's presumably supposed to be an apple.
I read the "we (heart) are teacher" as just "we are teacher," and my brain immediately went "I am Groot"
Well looks like all the wreckerators are terrorizing teachers again. Time for them to return to school and all the teachers to run in fear lol.
There are 2 inches missing off that ruler, not just one! To the back of the class, the rest of you! :-P
