The Squire - my husband - says I am no longer allowed to visit Cake Wrecks. Every time I come here I have hysterics and end up with a coughing fit! That mermaid is simply WONderful!
It makes my heart happy to know that there are mermaids (mermatrons?) who look like me--had a little too much of the fried appetizer plate and perhaps not enough exercise, resulting in a blobby mid-section. From here on, I shall be the blobby mermatron.
Glad the Mer-man cake didn't reveal the reverse image. With a belt that low, his butt-crack would have rivaled the Marianas Trench.
This is full of CORN, but anyway: That first one is a DOLL, and I wonder if she can SING... ....but she is (only) PART ON.....

I think the only way these mer-people could ever look good would be if Mer-lin cast a spell on them. (To cite the Dufflepuds in Voyage of the Dawn Treader, these were all UGLIFIED).

I do believe that last one is how Rubens would have depicted a mermaid. If plastic tails had existed back when he was painting.

That first one's actually pretty good -- for a triple-C. And I like the idea of a mer-man's man. But the last one is hilarious with your accompaniment.
That sea man is a work of art. The beard, the beer gut hanging over the belt buckle, the man boobs.. bravo
That last cake with red hair is disgusting.

Funny mermaids and merman! Why oh why would a merman have a hat, rifle and beer?!? At least it is a camo tail.
And here I was wondering what the heck a blob fish was...it's cuter than that cake and that's without my glasses on lol. I really don't want to put them on to look lol.
I just have to say for the record I just LOVE that camo merman cake. I find the design just perfect - the details are wonderful ! DEFINITELY not a wreck in my book! I nonetheless would really like to know the backstory for this.
I want a big swishy skirt printed with that first mermaid - and it must have pockets!
The blobfish is actually much easier to look at than the mermaid... 🤢
