What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

I VOTE AMERICA

If this blog has taught us anything, it's that a dead dog with a flag nailed to its head is a symbol of PATRIOTISM.

And what do patriots do?

They let freedome ring!!

With liberty and Justine for all!

(Don't worry; Justine got a cake out of it.)

 (See?)

So, my fellow Americans, if YOU love this country..

(Plus a large chunk of Canada...)

...and if you believe in Stars and Strips forever:

 (Woo woo!)

...plus monkeys wearing flag togas:

[crickets chirping]

...then get out there and buy some election cookie cakes!

You'll know them because they're the ones with the word "election" written on them:

Do it for the bakers.

Do it for your country, the good ol' SUA:

And do it because your vote counst:

...as long as you're not voting for literacy.

Thanks to Holly F., Dawnan H., Karen B., Dana S., Russell A., Carol S., Elizabeth J., Ryan H., Carol G., & Lillian J. for the reminder that tomorrow we can FINALLY switch from griping about campaign commercials to griping about who won the election. YAY POLITICS.

"Servicing our Country" huh? You know, I can think of half a dozen quips, but anything I write after this is going to be obscene.

LOL, Lady Anne - we must be sharing a brain :)

In regards to the 5th cake, the "I love the USA" one. That is NOT the USA :) What is on that cake is only 48 states. There are 50 states, Alaska is the 49th and Hawaii is the 50th state of The United States of America. We are part of the United States of America, really we are :)

I do believe that is a demon dog you have there.

Just hope there aren't any Engrish cakes turning it into erection day lol

My monkey tis of thee
Flag draped and swingin’ free
Of thee I sing
Let’s not let dead dogs lie
Vote so Justine won’t cry
Her hard work shouldn’t be for nigh
Let freedome ring

@SuBee wins! Best post of the day. Thank you for once again, giving us all chuckles that we need to get through our day!
P.S. Lady Anne? I too have some quips, all obscene, must be the name Anne. We share that as well!

@Mel M: Why? Don't you find voting exciting?
=^~.-^=

How do you get through writing these posts without spellcheck just exploding?

@Subee: That is a work of genius! I still have tears in my eyes. LMFAO.

That Justine... what a trooper :D

Perhaps these bakers are making symbolic comments on the absurdity of this year's election? Blind, monkey wrench, illiterate, out of order, bent out of shape and lacking clarity.

November 8, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterBluebonnet

@Janice :
Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Marianas, American Samoa, and U.S. Virgin Islands not included.
Alaska and Hawaii sold separately.
Sorry, Canal Zone is no longer available.

I can't be the only one who sees the second one as "Let Freedom Bing"? Poor search engine is just desperate for attention and relevance.

Servicing your country? Strangely enough, that seems to be what many citizens think the government has been doing to them for quite some time, I'm just not used to hearing it expressed so discreetly.

The cultural asylum offer is still open to anybody, whoever you did or didn't vote for, who just needs to get the heck away from the whole catastrophe. I think we might need to deploy mud cake and puppy therapy.

Two observations:

1) As a Canadian, I would like to just say that WE TOO will be VERY glad when your election is FINALLY done and we can hear about other things for a change.

2) I work for the insurance division of a large Canadian bank, and we had a special guest speaker from the banking division come to one of our annual meetings. She was talking about our company's plans to become a "one-stop shop" for everything you might want to do with your money, but she described that plan by saying (without a hint of irony, I might add), "Our goal is to service the client end to end for a holistic banking experience." Well, I only know of one profession that services its clients... and it ain't banking. But which end would you prefer to be serviced from??

Oh man I don't think I have laughed so hard as I did looking at these. Oh I cannot wait to see what happens tomorrow lol.

SuBee wins the internets today!

I haven't laughed this hard in days! Thanks for cheering me up on a night when I thought that would be impossible.

Please please put the Trump cake up tomorrow! It is relatively well made, though I really don't think it looks like him, and the baker was extremely flattering in the hair department. It is a huge wreck nonetheless, and I would love to see you make merciless fun of it!

@stridergirl: which bank is that? I'm going to be in the market for a new bank after I move to Canada...

November 11, 2016 | Unregistered Commenterkorbl

It looks like a monkey, but has a pig nose. It crouches like a frog, but has ears. And why would a monkpigfrog be wrapped in a flag? I am...puzzled.
