What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

What's In The Booooooox?

[shaking head sadly] Ohhh, bakers.

Bakers, bakers, bakers.

Just because you're having a rough day is no excuse to promote violence:

Even if the kid DOES have two right hands.

Thanks to Katie F. for helping me wrap this up.

An open-and-shut case, if I've seen one.

It's sad how close some of these actually get to being cute... and then... they aren't...

One of those times when someone really DID need to think outside the box!

Does the kid also have two left feet?

Oh look! They used those adorable pink erasers for baby feet!

Love the 7 reference XD. The cake is not too bad, any better it would not be a wreck.

Almost perfect… but not quite.

The way the wrapping paper falls on the butt makes it look like a frilly butt-shaped pedestal. I never thought I would use those words together...

Despite the two right hands and the child abuse, this cake isn't as bad as most on this website.

Not so bad overall but why does the poor baby have such a flat back and butt? I think the hands kinda look like dinosaur foot prints too.

There are cookie cutters shaped like little right hands and feet, but you have to flip the cookie (or, as my kids called them) the rawies over to make them left hands.

I thought the box was really well made. I was ready to ask why it was a wreck. Then I saw the baby legs dangling, and now I just want to ask why?

"You can keep your red snapper, or you can take what's in the box that Hirosan is bringing down the stairs right now! What's it going to be Weaver?"

"Um, oh I don't know....okay, I'll take the box, the box!"

"OK, you chose the box! What's in the box?"

*lifts the box, this cake is underneath*

"It's a wrecked baby cake!! A horrible cake!!! Stupid!!! You're so stupid!!!"

Well guess it could have been worse. Could have been a box with a baby head inside I suppose and I just know a wreckerator has probably done that lol. Eww.

Me looking at the cake: "Awww, that's cu-AAAAAARGH!"

Elizabeth A: you and I both know that when playing Wheel of Fish, never turn down the red snapper, lest you face the wrath of Kuni.
