[*The cats liked it.]
A Shamrock:
When the luck of the Irish has a bad day.
And then gets all its limbs cut off.
Balloons.
Literally the easiest thing you can make with cake:
WE'RE DOOMED.
A Football Helmet:
Alien skull. Final answer.
Flip-Flops:
If these look right to you, then someday you're going to make a podiatrist very, VERY happy.
Basketballs:
Or stick figures with no faces.
A School Bus:
Or so they claim.
I'm convinced this is actually a platypus named School Bus. See the little nostrils?
A Baseball Glove:
For the longest time I thought this was supposed to be turkey.
Then I saw the fingernails.
BONUS POP QUIZ!
Can you guess what this is supposed to be?
How about this one?

Thanks to Anony M., Jennifer M., Matt M., Katie T., Maggie P., Sally N., Tracie T., Jennalee, & Lauren L. for the excuse to use John's favorite post title again.
Note from john: Someone just told me they were done with Cake Wrecks because Jen didn't give you guys the answer in the comments in a timely manner. Honestly, we thought it was fun seeing your guesses. Well, as far as we know, it's the Mad Men logo and a teapot. Unless we're wrong. Merry Christmas!

The first one: Silhouette of The Doctor lying down wearing a Fez?
Aren't the balloons, in fact, ornaments?
bird and a teapot
Bobsled and a teapot?
The first is a mummy rising up to celebrate! The second appears to be a pink Cinderella style carriage.
The first one is obviously a corpse wearing a party hat
I think the first one is supposed to be the mad men logo with a party hat.
The first one looks like a mummy with a birthday hat on. The second, I'm going with teapot
It's Don Draper from the opening of Mad Men! (And it's horrible)
A swan and a vase? maybe...
it may be a duck and a teapot..

I am late to the game here, but Bonus #1 is CLEARLY a luger with a party hat on.

A blunt and a teapot.
i think the second to last one is a deformed drag racing car
Am I the only one that saw the last one as a princess on an elephant?! (its trunk is raising up in front & with a curly tail in back)
A guided missile and Princess Flower-Face?
The first one is an air plain the pilot is wearing a red party hat. The plane is carrying the happy birthday banner. The second one is a genie in a bottle.
Second one: A teapot.
First one: A sculpture of a dead person carved on top of a sarcophagus. With a party hat.
Has CW admin answered this yet??
Are we still playing?? The first is a mummy rising from the dead wearing a party hat. For the 2nd, where's everybody getting teapot? I see a Disney princess.... though she is s bit short and stout.
I honestly don't even have a guess for the first bonus question, but maybe the second is a princess coach/carriage??
So that isn't a Happy Birthday cake for a whale and it's parasitic twin wearing a part hat?
Wow way to mess with my perception, Internets.
What a tribute to this blog that folks are still reading and guessing! As someone suggested, there is a birthday cake image online that matches the first bonus cake, although it is executed very well and anybody who even saw a commercial for Mad Men would recognize it. I gotta say one thing for the Mad Men cake though--the icing and borders and side décor are beautifully done. Why then, would this person not know how to roll out and cut black fondant without getting white (cornstarch, probably) all over it? Also, is it that hard to lay a rectangular fondant strip reasonably straight on a buttercream cake? I think not. [Of course I "think not" frequently, so that's no indication.]
.
I LOVE the way the CW fans explain their answers--I have an item on my bucket list that I manage to make one guffaw-worthy comment on CW. Alas, the day for it is not today.
Thanks for the laughs, folks!
I think the teapot's cute.
Its not a teapot it's cinderella's pumpkin carriage
1. Sea lion wearing a fez (or possibly the 11th Doctor Who?).
2. Peter Pumpkineater's wife making her escape.
Race car and teapot
the last one is Patrick from spongebob.
We all seem to agree on the teapot.
The other looked immediately to me like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz, in a reclining position. Probably not. But maybe a rocket?
Shark w Frickin Laser Beam!
#1)???????
#2)a unicorn?
#1. No idea
#2. A unicorn with no eyes
first bonus: a racer in a race car (the circle is his head/helmet)
second: teapot, obviously
Symbol for smoking and teapot
The first one is a wrench and the second one is a teapot...I think.
The second to last is supposed to be from James bond lol
First bonus is 100% Mad Men, if you look closely you can see it's an arm holding a cigarette right at the edge of the cake. I do think the second one is meant to be a teapot, the bit obscured by the glare is the lid. Maybe it's a teapot in a tea cosy?
A mummy in a party hat and a teapot!
