Thankful for the beautiful fall colors in the new town I just moved to... What a great welcome!
I am thankful for my kitty's rough tongue on my eyes, licking the tears from them when I'm sad....he's so thoughtful.
I'm always thankful for my first sip of tea in the morning, but having a husband who loves me, in spite of me, tops my list.
That my list of things I am thankful for this year is longer than it has ever been, not because of changes in my circumstances but because of changes in *me.*
Happy Thanksgiving, People of Cake Wrecks!
I am so thankful for the chance to come home for the holiday.
I'm grateful for:
My family
My dog
Toilet paper- the soft kind
My favorite boots
Bright shiny objects
and Cake Wrecks!
Im thankful for my husband and daughter without them I would be lost
Wonderful friends and I am thankful for my house
I am very thankful for having a job, great friends and family. I am also thankful to cakewrecks for making me laugh when I'm sad or having a really bad day.
My mother is eating her toast across the table from me and wondering why I keep looking at her and smiling so silly. :)
The biggest thinks I'm grateful for are the people who love me and those I love- not always the same names on those lists, actually.
Plus, living a country where I have freedom to use the internet and security in my right to write on it. Thank you to all who make that possible!!
You two should know Cake Wrecks (and therefore you) are on my list of favorite things!! (I've been trying not to be a pest as Tuesday approaches. LOL)
I am thankful that my husband finally finished sanding and mudding the office...I get to prime and paint today!
I'm thankful for my brother. Our whole family is on the west coast and we go to school on the east, so we're having Thanksgiving together. I'm so excited!
I am thankful for so many things... my incredible husband and son, my improved health, family and friends, PVRs, my GPS, vietnamese summer rolls, Cakewrecks, cuddly dogs and cats... I can go on and on. Thanks for yet another wonderful post of amazing cakes.
I"m thankful for my job and my healthy family.
I am thankful for my wonderful relationship with my mother. I am 22 and a grad student. She still visits on parent weekend, sends care packages, and is my best friend.
I am thankful for a warm bed covered in quilts!
I am thankful that my daughter's Asperger's Syndrome was diagnosed at the age of six. The earlier you discover autism, the earlier you can begin adapting to it and understanding why she does what she does. And, just perhaps, preparing her for a successful adulthood. She wants to be an executive chef, and loves sweets. Perhaps she will end up on a Sunday Sweets!
I am thankful for cloudy mornings and nights where the sun makes shadows in the "valleys" of the clouds.
I am thankful I get to see my big sister at Thanksgving! :)
P.S. Love cake wrecks!
I'm thankful for the times when my husband and I have friends over to play games and not everyone knows each other, but everyone has a blast!
I'm thankful for my family. Simple, no frills. Family.
I am thankful my chest x ray came back clear. :)
I'm thankful for being able to find the humor in life and appreciate the moments that make living with arthritis a little easier.
Thankful for friends who are willing to take us in on Thanksgiving day since we are too far away from family for a visit this year!
(Oh, and that Sound of Music cake is my new favorite thing!! LOVE IT!)
I'm thankful for books. They make me happy.
I am thankful that my boyfriend got a job in my city and we will no longer be in a long-distance relationship.
I am thankful for cakewrecks for making me laugh every day, postsecret for reminding me that somewhere, someone is thinking the same things as me, and 1000 awesome things to help me remember the little joys in life that make it awesome!
Today, I am thankful for the little miracle growing inside me, and the fact that we get to find out if baby is a boy or a girl on WEDNESDAY!!! (Or both. Dr swears it's not twins but we'll see with the ultrasound! LOL)
Wow. These are amazing, especially the first one.
I'm thankful for health for my family, and for a loving God.
I am thankful for yarn. Chunky yarn, lacy yarn, sparkly yarn, variegated yarn, hairy yarn, soft soft yarn, mountains and piles of colorful yarn.
We've been doing "30 Days of Thankfulness" on Facebook - posting something we're thankful for every day for the whole month. I've discovered so many things that I didn't think about being thankful for, like garbage men, the month of Autumn, and warm socks on a chilly night. And, of course, the things we know to be thankful for - my family, my husband, my pets, doing what you love and loving what you do.
Happy Thanksgiving, All!
I am thankful for a God that loves me and blesses me despite my continual disobedience. Praise God for unfailing love!
I'm thankful for my home, my family, and my friends (human and otherwise).
I am thankful for a husband who encourages me to try cooking new things and eats them even when they don't taste that good.
I am thankful my husband has a job to provide for our family so I can be a stay at home mom and take care of the kids.
Juice boxes!
I'm thankful for enduring friendships. I got to chat on the phone for a solid hour last night with my oldest and dearest friend. (We've been friends since 1971!)
I will have this tune in my head all day!
I am thankful for the rare occasions when our whole family gets to have dinner together. Our boys are young adults and have busy lives, so it is a real treat when our schedules allow us to all sit together for dinner and catch up.
I'm thankful everyday that I have both of my parents. :)
I am thankful for my roommate and best friend who is the bestest.
Jen, absolutely beautiful cakes...and your commentary was equally as wonderful! The ice-cream cake is literally gravity defying!
I'm thankful for the fact that I get to celebrate another year of happiness! My birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year, and I'm always grateful that I was allowed to be me....my mother had horrible complications with her pregnancy (more than a couple of decades ago when medicine was not as progressive), and its a miracle that I got here...so I'm always very thankful that both of our lives were preserved and that I get the awesome opportunity to just be alive and to help impact others' lives for the good!
Thanks to your friend for sharing his books!
I am thankful for a warm home to live in, a sweet daughter, a wonderful husband, and Cake Wrecks! :)
I am so very thankful for blogs that make me laugh and smile and think. Thank you for doing all three! That ice cream cone cake will have me wondering, "How'd they do that?!" all day.
Wool toques and car heaters that work well!
I am thankful for morning snuggles with my dog, Sundays with my husband, and soup. I love soup.
I'm thankful for my puppies who can be soooo hilarious!!
I'm thankful for my overly dramatic 4 year old daughter who tells me that ballet "puts darkness in her heart."
The thing I'm most thankful for today is that it IS today. I'm thankful for every new day that I get, when I wake up rested and alert and ready to start a day that's just brimming with possibilities.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!
I am thankful that my husband and I BOTH graduate in just a few short weeks, and that he already has a job lined up!
There are many, many big things I am thankful for (growing up in a loving home, my husband, my cats) but this time of year I am thankful for the coming holiday season, and for the opportunity to participate in a sing-along version of Handel's Messiah. Lifting your voices with 3000 other people without worrying about messing up a note and singing a masterpiece just for the pure joy of it is an experience I look forward to every year.
