A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.
Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Elsa's inbred cousin :O
CCC? Ptooie!
Not really any scarier than the real Elsa. In fact, I think I'd rather my kid's hero be a monkey faced freak than an anorexic sex kitten ice queen.
Olaf was my favorite Monkee
Here she comes,
sliding on the ice
She may not look like a princess
She doesn’t seem so nice
Looks like a snow monkey
And her visage makes people scream
Though she may seem cold hearted
She sounds like Adelle Nazeem
She’s not tryin’ to be friendly
Her monkey face keeps people away
She’s just tryin’ to save you
By keeping you at bay
Any time you’re standing in the snow
You’ll hear her monkey voice scream
She just can’t let it go
Looks like a snow monkey
Her face is oddly shaped and it’s flat
But we’re all sick of “Frozen”
So let’s just leave it at that
To be fair, it's hard to come by good makeup artists in the jungle.
@SuBee.......Brava! You are the best at song parodies and making me laugh. Love the "monkees' song parody! I like your lyrics better than the original. Look out Weird Al Yankovic, SuBee is taking your place! @Jen...another great post. I love my mornings checking in daily on my favorite site, and don't mind a little coffee spittle on my keyboard from laughing.
OMG! That cake is SCARY! And I agree with the "good makeup artists are hard to find in the jungle".. Yep... that is sooooooooo true! :-)
Wow. I usually get a good chuckle out of CW every day, but today was a full-on spit-take! Hilarious!
Good one as always, @SuBee!
I have vertigo today, so it makes that cake look even freakier!
Jen, how do you come up with the perfect photos to equal the wreck? Genius!
@SuBee: Awesome! I loved the Monkees. I watched their TV show. I was glad all the girls seemed to go after Davy, because that meant Micky was all mine, theoretically, if we were ever to have met.
Hey, Elsa! Why the long face?
Good thing they labeled her--I for one never would've guessed.
Someone tried to turn a horsey cake into Elsa! Makes me laugh, but marks for attempted creativity!
@RachelCrazyMum: Happy Birthday to your daughter (& please look at my late-evening comment yesterday).
My 5 YO looked over my shoulder, made a face, & said, "horrible!"
I heard they were remaking "The Jungle Book" but this is ridiculous!
Oh. Dear me - that poor child!
I just feel for the poor little girl who ended up with this cake. Actually I hope that it stayed in the display case until it was past its expiration date.
Oh man looks like Elsa got run over by a zamboni lol and her poor face is still on the ice. Yikes.
SHAKMAAAAAAA!
Wow! Saw this and first thought was that those '80's drag queens have been hiding for too long!
That reminds me...
Can I suggest a monkey theme for Sunday Sweets on Sunday, February the 7th? That's Chinese New Year and it will be the Year of the Monkey.
This takes on new meaning after yesterday's Super Bowl, "puppymonkeybaby".
The freakiest part is the bakery kabel on the lid.
