What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

is pleased to present an exciting new opportunity!

Bad Enough Baking School!

In just a few short weeks, you too can bake:

"Hell No Kitty!"

and other vaguely recognizable characters that are just Bad Enough to avoid pesky copyright litigation.

Haven't you always dreamed of turning out masterpieces like:

Iron Toaster

2 settings: Light or Stark.

Mickey Mumps

"Who's the leader of the club
With no immunity?
Stay away from me!"

Boy Pharaoh or Space Explorer?

Can't decide = indemnified!

Barney the Carnivore

I love meat, you smell good. Gonna eat your neighborhood! ♫

"I'd give anything to have legs so I could walk off this cake."

Dora the Deplorable

Brace yourself!

And that perennial favorite:

The Cat In Hazmat!

The sun did not shine.
It was too wet to play.
So we sat in the house
And watched the cat decay.

Bad Enough Baking School!

You hit it out of the ballpark once again, Sharyn. "Mickey Mumps" Hahahahahaha!!!!!

Bravo, Sharyn! As I read this, I had the feeling you were behind this one.

1) I think this one is from a South American body of water - Lake Kittyhaha.
2) This baker's career is toast.
3) I want to see the baker measle his way out of this one.
4) Tut, tut, tut. This seems like a pyramid scheme to me. To eternity...and beyond.
5) Looks more like Rainbow Blight.
6) Ariel needs to shave her fin.
7) She's "bucking" the trend of being cute.
8) He looks a little Far Eastern. Maybe he was removed from there and now he's...disoriented.

Anywhere else I would just assume that Iron Toaster picture had been mirrored, but here I'm considering the possibility that the wreckerator actually wrote on it backwards.

Yeek! That cat is scary....

That skull effect on the cat is weirdly effective.

Oh, Dora! Are you SURE that's who that is? Whence cometh the buck teeth?

May 15, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLady Anne

Why those teeth, Dora???

"Dora" made me spit my drink....
That's the kind of face that makes you want to smash it with a bat, so maybe she would be better as a pinata?

Is that last one the cat in the hat or Waldo pushing up daisies ?

If Dora married SpongeBob and had a daughter...

Oh how I mourn for Hello Kitty. I can assume that is what that first cake tried to be lol.
