What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

When In Rome...

This week Mackensie's aunt received a birthday cake for the ages.

Her kids asked the baker to write her age in Roman numerals, since we all know nobody can read those anyway and - bonus - it also looks classier.

Instead of oh-so-classy and discreet Roman numerals, though, Mackensie's aunt got this on her cake:

RAMEN NOODLES.

You've gotta appreciate the little noodle pile on top, too. That's a baker who fully commits.

Thanks to Mackensie G. for the soup-er submission. May your next cake be XVIICXE times better than this.

Good thing they didn't write it in Roman Oodles. I think that might have gotten the same FB reaction as the Candadian Turkey-Neck Cake.

Lol the baker was probably just like "I think I messed this one up... oh well, I'll just throw some noodles on it and it'll be fine!"
