What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Wreckage Most Foul

Hey bakers, it's Draw a Bird Day.

Whaddaya got?

I see.

...what else ya got?

::squints::

::head tilt::

AAAAAAAAAAA!

AND WHAT IS A "PENQUIN?"

Never mind.

I think the important take-away here, minions, is that even when you don't give a hoot about Draw A Bird Day, you can still give... a poop:

WELL OWL BE.

Small naked cartoon child: "Mr. Bowel, how many licks does it take NOPE NOPE DID NOT THINK THIS JOKE THROUGH NOPE.

Thanks to Eileen, Jodee R., Naomie H.,Lauren D., & Alysia B., who may or may not remember this commercial, but most DEFINITELY are craving a Tootsie Pop now:

LOL, I remember those tv ads! Though am embarrassed to admit I didn't notice the misspelled 'penquins' until you pointed it out... :-P

Those penquins are adorable! But, just what are those beaks, upside down teeth?

I'm pretty sure the boy in the Tootsie Pop commercial was voiced by Peter Robbins, better known for his work voicing Charlie Brown in the early Peanuts animated specials.

I have to say, those chocolate penguins look delicious haha.

1) Are those kissing gourami with feet? And no fins? What mad scientist created this mash-up?
2) It's the Loch Ness Big Bird?.
3) A pink flounder - with antennae?
4) Maybe these are Halloween zombie penguins. Notice the scary bug eyes and the teeth. But what's with the color? Did they fall in the sewers?
5) Forget pigeons. I wouldn't want that flying over my car.

The quasi-Big Bird CCC looks scary to me!

Those "penguins" have interesting dentures. Is this how people in UK see penguins?

The penguins post reminds me that Benedict Cumberbatch camt say penguins... and you should definitely google that.

Obviously a 'penquin' is a penguin with a half denture instead of a beak.

The first one is obviously birds. Not to horrid. But did you notice the one bird with his leg bent like all the pictures of ladies getting kissed? LOL.

April 8, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMoonflwr912

Those penquins remind me of some birds from Aardman's Creature Comforts. They also have teeth in their beaks

April 8, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterJohn

Those penquins just need a few more sequins.

The penguins are all screaming because they're all sliding down an iceberg that is melting because of global warming.

How can someone grow up to an age where they can be employed and yet have never seen a bird?!?

April 8, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMudmusher

Last one is a turd bird.

April 8, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterAlison

The penquins are kind of cure. Except for the teeth.

I can't even imagine that those penquins are even birds they look like angry monsters that can't figure out what the heck they are lol. I still can't see penguins lol.

Jessica, thank you SO MUCH for the 'Benedict Cumberbatch can't say penguins' tip - found Youtube clips and it's hysterical!

"Go ass Mr. Bowel..."

I apologize. <sniff>

"The world may never know."

April 9, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterkrunchifrog

Those penguins have the same expression as Beaker from the Muppets!

Oddly enough, my mother says, "penQuins". She's always sworn that's how she was taught to spell it when she was in elementary school back in the 50's. This is the first time I've ever seen proof that anyone else pronounces it that way, too.
