What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Oooooh... SO CLOSE

So do bakers still get points if you can at least tell what their cakes were *supposed* to say?

Or...not.

The period is how you know that new hairstyle is really working for you, Raquel. Honest.

Excellent advice for those pesky potty-training years.

Is this like an "I am legion" thing? 'Cuz if so, I'd rather you roar over there, if it's all the same to all of you.

And for bonus points, let's see if you can tell what these last two words were supposed to say:

Not sure? Then here's a hint: it's the same thing the last word on THIS cake was supposed to say:

But hey, who's counting?

Thanks to Shimon M., Raquel, Rebecca D., Jennifer B., Tom M., & Shane A. for the close falls.

1) This is the baker's way of telling Steve he made a smart purchase. It's probably the best of all the cakes they had, which isn't saying much.
2) I'm trying to figure out if Raquel is a real looker, or she knows how to stare at people.
3) This is obviously one of those businesses where every kind of break is scheduled, even the potty breaks.
4) I read this cake and it reminds me of the following exchange: "There wolf. There castle."
5) This was probably for a city slicker who managed to survive a six day visit to the farm.
6) Seems that Jimmy John made his two year probationary period at the CPA firm.

Bakers should be required to take a literacy test. O_o

Maybe somebody wanted to convince the customer that the cake was a good buy. (I thought of "Good boy" before "Goodbye.")

I at first thought "huh accounting is spelled properly what's wrong with that?" then I realized it was supposed to say "& counting"

Did the "Happy Birthday, Di" cake actually say *Die* at first?
It looks like an 'e' was scraped away!

6 days in County? Maybe Di’s celebration got out of hand and landed her in the county lock-up for a few days.

Six days in county? Sounds like Di is a real party animal. She knows how to lock up a good time.

6 days in county... Maybe they mean that her birthday was 6 days after she arrived in jail??

December 12, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterMaria M

Until I saw the hint, I was pretty sure that the second to the last cake was telling Di to have a good birthday, even though she is
spending six days in the county jail.

Well at least she still got a cake for her birthday even though she was still in jail six days and counting lol. Wonder when she got out.
