A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.
Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

"Excellent"???? I'd say" illiterate" comes closer.
1) I think this one was a conglomeration. It was praising someone really cool who was from Australia.
2) Maybe they meant to say, "Aw, some sprinkles". (Then again, maybe not).
3) I don't know if we want to know the backstory on this one. The kids need their innocence.
4) How about AWFUL here? Bad punctuation and grammar. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard.
5) Everything is awssome.
Except this cake. It makes me want to scream.
The baker isn't awsome.
He really gets me steamed.
And to close it with the perfect Princess Bride quote, John, you're really awwsome, or awsome or something like that.
My hope for the human race fades a little more each day.
Anyone else start hearing the Lego Movie song?
I want to know the story behind the melons one. Is it jokingly commending growing excellent (likely prize-winning) fruit? Is it doing that except with zero knowledge of the double meaning? Or is it actually on the occasion of breast implants or something like that? The world may never know.
Well, at least the melons cake answers the question of “Your awsome what” which the others leave hanging!
Awesome-with-an-e-and-one-s job as always, john (thoJ)!
(PS - Autocorrect kept trying to turn “thoJ” into “Thor”, which really would be awesome! =-)
I tried eating melon seeds once.
They didn't work.
Thanks for the smile: this is really ... ah... terrific!
What does it mean?
Well, "awesome" means that it causes some awe.
That puts it somewhere between no awe at all and a full awe "awful."
That there is the problem, see? There's no "e" in awful, even though there's more awe in it. Why would you use less of the word to mean more of it, and all of the word for just some? Maybe it should be "asome?"
Here in New Zealand we have a saying based on a well-known boxer's comment while playing our version of TV game show "Wheel of Fortune" - "O for Awesome"
Lmao they really kept trying and not one could spell awesome. This scares me lol.
In my town there is a sign-making company named "Awsome Signs". The story goes that the government department responsible for registering business names got the spelling wrong, refused to fix their mistake without being paid some extreme change-of-name fee, and it has been left that way over a decade!
Whenever I see it I think "If I buy a sign there, it's going to make me say "Aw...!"" I just hope they only employ people with impeccable spelling, or people will think the name error was self-made.
Aww, so may I say? This is pure "OW", son!
1) An almost perfectly presentable cake! Except, of course, for that collapsed corner, those green poo weenies passing for leaves, and, of course, the ewwsome writing
2) Yet another not really that bad example. Though have some questions about the slightly grainy texture and the irregular surface. And, as the theme goes, the text speaks for itself. (Heavens, if a cake featured here actually spoke, now that would be wowsome)
3) Uh, maybe too polite to tell their significant other that their, uh, "melons" are awesome, just not enough to warrant all the letters? More like, eh, LOLsome
4) Let it never be said that the decorator can't write well. Everything else may be said. Including about the spelling (it is "naw, son!")
5) ...Well, except this cake. It is just loathsome! ( ...I'd eat it, anyway... myeah.)
