A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.
Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Sleeping Beauty: Now with extra carnage.
It actually appears that Aurora is the victim.
WHERE ARE HER LEGS, PEOPLE?!
😭
that was terrifying
I'm always as shocked at the prices as I am at the wrecks. Then again, I come from a small town in Wyoming where no one would pay that much for a fancy well-done cake, let alone that wreck!
What on earth.... O_o
GAH! A true story soon to be shown on 20/20 or Dateline!
Picture of Beautiful Princess: 2.99
Princess 'Chain Saw Massacre' Cake: 23.99 (Seriously?!!)
Picture of Parents Chasing the Wrecorator with a Chain Saw? PRICELESS
Thank you for avoiding the "Aunt Flo" joke. :-)
Looking forward to next Halloween. So many ideas in my head right now!
You want to just sit them down and say, "What was your thought process here?"
For a whopping $23.99. I wonder if the "blood" was extra?
Bwahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaahahahahahahahah! That was hilarious.
Maybe it's a cake to teach little girls about "that time of the month"? Yuck!
That's what happens when you sneeze on your period :O
MacArthur Park meets Disney?
I'm hoping that it was just a terrible misunderstanding, that someone left the cake out in the rain....
Y'all are too dramatic..... All I see is a poor little lass, trapped in a bubble, worried sick that her Prince will *sniff* n-n-never find her, in there....
(Really, though, she's mostly worried that she might have to clean the whole mess up all by herself! ) =^~.~^=
Wow, and I though my time of the month was bad...
I thought maybe the roses melted, but that doesn't explain the "rays" coming from her dress.
What... even???!!!
So did anyone else expect the final picture in this post to be one of Seanan McGuire?
Good god its a blood bath! !!
Jen, you are scarily good at this sort of addition. It makes me laugh every time.
K'shandra: you're right, that would work too. Although perhaps her Mira Grant persona would be more appropriate?
The top part of her dress looks as though she's holding crossed kukris, like the Gurkha regimental badge. Makes sense...
My daughter wants an Aurora cake for her 4th birthday. Last year a baker made a stunning Cinderella cake and I was thinking of going the same route until I saw this. Yep. This is our cake.
Maybe she's auditioning for Game of Thrones? Lol that cake is a massacre and I would hope no parent bought it for their child to have nightmares and years of therapy due to that thing.
When Maleficent said Aurora was going to prick her finger on a spindle of a spinning wheel and die, I didn't think it would be by rapidly bleeding to death.
Maybe Disney depicting the Prom scene from Carrie?
