A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.
Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

I'm not sure I want to know or not what that last one is actually meant to be.
AMAZING! As I scrolled down I was truly perplexed as to how a mash=up of the two images would look, for one had absolutely NOTHING in common with the other, yet those wreckerators nailed each and every one-
AAANND such a relief after the horrible cakes from yesterday- I don't think I've ever been so traumatized by cake before.
I'll have to go with the Hello-Dali-Screaming-Blue-Meany, please...
...with a side of bleu sleeves...

This really is my happy place on the web. So funny!
Maybe Salvador Smurf is supposed to be a Blue Meanie, but still not very faithful.
The past two weeks of Cakewrecks posts have been my favorites!
Holy crap that last one is scary! What possible occasion is that for? Yikes!
These "wrecks" are ............................ PERFECT!
ROTFLMAO!
Who is the lady in the blue dress who is being turned into a penguin?
At least Dali Smurf's nose doesn't look penile! Hey, I'm trying to be nice here. No, I don't know why.
There is an awful lot of blue frosting in this post. Blergh!
Delta Burke, from her Designing Women days.
To: Allison in Indiana - that is Delta Burke, one of my all time favorite actresses. She embraced her size and flaunted it with grace. Delta was in the TV series "Designing Women".
@ Alison in Indiana -- that is Delta Burke from Designing Women (a TV sitcom in the 1980s).
Salvador Smurf for the win! I laughed so hard after seeing these mashups. As I wipe tea off the screen of my computer yet again (when will I ever learn not to read CW with liquid nearby?) I am so glad you and your minions put these together. Keep up the excellent work!
I don't know anyone in these pictures! Can someone name the celebrities and stuff? (not the cakes obviously)
I don't know if 'celebrity' is the correct word; I have no idea who the first two are. How did I miss that woman in Star Trek? It's a slightly different uniform; fan flick?
I showed today's wrecks to my husband and his response "Smurfador Dali".
I love the Dr + Timberlake mashup. It's perfect 😆😆😆
Alison in Indiana, the lady in blue is Delta Burke, an actress mostly know for her role as Suzanne Sugarbaker on the sitcom Designing Women that started in 1986 and ran for seven seasons.

That's Delta Burke in her role as Susanne Sugarbaker in Designing Women
Now, for those of you who aren't Doctor Who fans, the stretched out face is..... Oh who am I kidding? Everyone is a fan of the Doctor!
Would someone please tell me the where the thing matched up with Justin Timberlake is from? It looks familiar to me but my husband didn't recognize it and thought I was crazy. I tried looking around the interwebs with no luck of identifying what it's from. Help! It's driving me crazy not remembering!
@alison in Indiana
Delta Burke. That photo is from the sitcom "Designing Women."
Alison in Indiana: She's Delta Burke, who was in the late '80s/early '90s sitcom "Designing Women."
Lol these are hilarious. Love the Timberlake mashup though not sure what the heck the other pic is and not sure I want to know lol.
Blue dress = Delta-Burke; Designing Women.
I recognized Delta Burke and should have realized that was Dali (that amazing mustache was a major clue; thanks sendingtheclowns) but who's the first one?
Brilliant work as always, CW team!
That's Lady Cassandra O'Brien Dot Delta Seventeen, self-proclaimed Last Human, after her seven hundred and eighth plastic surgery. Arrogant, greedy, scheming, dishonest, uncaring about all except herself... not at all a nice person.
Would it surprise anyone that I recognized all the images except the first one, which I'm guessing is the one that most folks recognized?
I had no problem with Lady Cassandra (I've been a Doctor Who fan since the reboot). And I'm old enough to have watched Designing Women when it was first on. I even remembered Delta Burke's name. And I hope everyone knows who Salvador Dali is. But I had no idea that first photo was Timberlake.
I have heard his name in the news over the years. I knew he was a singer but I guess he has also been in movies? I honestly don't remember ever seeing his face. I must have missed whatever movies he has been in and I don't watch award shows.
