A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.
Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

The cat portrait is what made this post.
You're tearing me apart, Lisa!

sorry
This is why I call Adele’s song “The Stalker Song”. I really don’t get why it was such a hit; it’s more than a little creepy.
Literally what I pictured the first time I heard this terrible song, now I get to search the house for CW wiretaps. (Sorry, love her voice, this song is poop)
"The cake is coming from INSIDE the house!"
...by cat portrait do you mean the camel for hump day lol
Another great stick-figure story, John! The cat portrait was the cherry on top, so to speak.
I have a question. Why are frosted gigantic cookies not disparaged the way CCC's are? Are they for people too cheap to buy a cake, but "they wanted to do something"? "I like you, but not enough to splurge on a little cake".
Hope you had a nice Christmas. Best wishes for another great Cakewrecks year of posts!
That's no mere cat, that's Lily!
Oh this post has me laughing so hard. I love that song and now I will think of this and die laughing when I hear it.
The "Sorry about the Herpes" cake following that sketch reminds me of a call I got from a guy about 5 years after our affair ended. He didn't say why he was calling, and I was too shy at the time to ask. He called me back the next day, after a night of wondering if I had a horrible disease, to tell me he had become a salesman. Oh, the relief that he just wanted to sell something to me! 8-/
I love the Lily portrait too!
I think this might be the best one!!! Lol
This still makes me laugh! Well done, john (thoJ)!
