What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

I don't know what it is about that EMT cake, but I just can't stop looking at it! Maybe it's the sweet heart rate monitor around the bottom tier, or those amazing stethoscopes, or that adorable ambulance? I want this cake made into a pin so I can wear it!

And thanks to the wonderfully amazing people who blog about things we love, keeping us entertained and connected to others in this big old world who love the same things!!! :-D

P.S. Mad props to you for your restraint in not gushing for paragraphs about all those cakes - especially the cleaning one at the top. Holy crud! That is some impressive work!!! And the EMT one, and the Tech one, and the Hair Stylist one, and the Farmer one, and Lawyer one, and Teacher one!!! So much awesome!!!

Is there a cake for the people who make us laugh every day? I could make one for you, but it would just end up on Cake Wrecks!

I do appreciate the work and talent that went into the first cake, but then I think, you can't even eat half of it! Fondant - blegh.

Oh, I love the crayon cake: that's adorable!

The skills of the first baker are AMAZING.

Still trying to figure out what would be the most appropriate cake design for a fantastic blogger: something in orange & teal, maybe? :)

All of these were great but the box of crayons is my favorite! Now I need to go get mine out and start coloring.

Prize for the person who can tell me how the bottom border on the hair stylist cake is made. It looks like pure fun.

For me, it is the lawyer cake, hands down. Exquisite work! (Not that I don't appreciate the others, particularly the crayon one.)

Thanks for finding and posting these, Jen!
