What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Americans Werkin' It

Today we celebrate the American work force that labors so hard to keep this great nation of ours running.

Plus the ones who did this:

/\';;'/\

Baker: "Well, the customer said she wanted 'Buy Ryan,' but THAT doesn't make any sense, so...
better add some ellipses."

And lest you think we only have bakers who do this:

Nope.

Thanks to Andy W., Ashley B., Sylvia C., & Jo H. for giving us the shirt off her back clearance aisle.

Thank you for using our Amazon links to shop! USA, UK, Canada.

…Aaaaaaand, the "floral Design" is off centre. Double fail!

Bahahahaha

You can subsidize such gross ineptitude if you want, but if I ordered a cake and if it was offered to me with a simple message as mangled as this, I would refuse to pay one cent for it.

'Murica! LITERALLY living up to expectations every day.

For some reason I can forgive the Floral Decoration T shirt a lot more easily than those others. The shirt is most likely from some third world sweatshop where nobody speaks English. As for those cakes, there is NO EXCUSE!

(I'd just lick off the words "on both." Neither Chris will know the difference.)

How do we know Ryan wasn't for sale?

But - but- but - the printing on all of them is so pretty!

I sure wish I knew where to buy that shirt! It's a masterpiece.

"Floral Decoration" is fabulous! I'd wear it Saks just to see the horrified looks of all passing by. Priceless!
Buy-buy!

My youngest is a sugar fiend and his name happens to be Ryan... I showed him this and now we are wondering, Did Ryan make the cake? Is Ryan leaving? or is Ryan for sale??

September 5, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterbelovedbyHim

I would buy that shirt.

As Ryan's brothers sat down to eat cake, they looked up and saw a caravan of Pavees coming from Gort. So Sean said, “What will we gain if we kill our brother and hide his body? Let’s decorate this cake and try to sell him to the Pavees and not harm him. After all, he is our brother.” And the others agreed. When the Minkeer merchants came by, Ryan’s brothers took him out of the well, and for €14,99 they sold him to the Pavees, who took him to England.

Maybe cake number 2 is targeting the "Ryan" demographic, hoping a passing guy named Ryan is hungry for some cake but needs a personal invitation to purchase it.

At first glance I read the cakes in pic #3 as "Happy Birthday Chris on Beth"!!

Eoin: well done!

Jen, I love the ascii bat!!!

That T shirt reminds me of a cross stitch pattern on Pinterest. In the middle of a decorative border are the words 'Profound Statement'.

One hopes that in some alternate universe, the second cake was, in fact, presented to the creator of the first cake.

Re: Chris's cakes - SO close... SO, SO CLOSE...

That t-shirt could actually work as irony. So to speak. Get it? (nudgenudge)... GET IT?!??!

September 6, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterBADKarma

"Happy Birthday Chris on Both" is exactly the reason I always use separate forms when I'm ordering more than one cake from Costco.

You see all kinds of shirts like Floral Design in Korea. I bought shirts I can't even get on my head just to own the verbage. My fave is one that has a cartoon cat with a dictionary description of what a cactus is. More!!

For cake #2, my 16 y/o decided the caption should be "Human Trafficking when you forget who you're selling." Love it!
