Fourth Time's The Charm

In honor of Star Wars day today ("May the fourth... Get it?!) I couldn't resist cracking open what is quite possibly my favorite post ever written by Number1. Of course, I also couldn't resist adding a little more wreckage to it, since a tale this epic deserves wreckage of only the finest caliber. So, without further ado, here's Number1 to tell you a story...of a lovely lady...called STAR WARS.
Ok, so, the movie is set in space, "the final frontier," sometime in the future.
Luke Skywalter is the pilot for the Star Ship Firefly:
(That's the red boomerang thing.)
Skywalter has to save the beautiful Princess Leia from the evil grip of Dark Vader and his Terminators:
"We will destroy Hans Solo by playing checkers."
In order to get past all of the Cylons, Skywalter makes some friends with magical powers:
RD2D, CP3O and Spider-Man.
RD2D, CP3O, and Spider-Man follow Luke to the planet Vogon. There they find a short psychic Muppet in a swamp:
Slimer.
Slimer tells Luke to "use the force," but Luke doesn't know what that means so he shoots him. (First.)
Luke and his gang then go back to the Enterprise to fight Dark Vader and rescue Princess Leia. Again.
But the ship is now underwater, which makes it impossible to turn on their Life Savers.
Plus Dark Vader thinks it's unfair that Luke brought friends to help him fight, so Vader calls a friend of his own:
Accio pixie power!!
But wait! Slimer pops up from the dead and casts lightning into Vader's helmet!
Pew! Pew!
Vader falls to the ocean floor, and Slimer says, "You killed my father; prepare to die!" Then he crosses the tachyon streams to open a wormhole which sends Vader back to Gozer.
Then Luke, Slimer, CP30, RD2D, Scully, Mulder, and Superman all run to rescue the beautiful Princess Leia a third time, and she proclaims her love for Luke. (Which really annoys Yo Jabba Jabba, but I think that's more in the next movie.)
DON'T BLINK.
And so they all live together on the island until John Locke finds himself dead in the coffin.
THE END
Thanks to Anony M., Debra B., Autumn P., Amanda N., Sarah, Jessica H., Ruth K., Meghann H., and Matt B. And as the brown coats say, "Live long, and may the force be with you!" So say we all.

Love Love Love this post!!
"Accio Pixie Power"! Harry Potter reference for the win! :) How a wizard ended up among these sci fi elements, I'll never know!
Still giggling over here -- and still wondering just HOW the cake w/ Tinkerbell & Darth Vader came to be in the first place! (And what's up w/ the scratches in the icing?)
Wow. That's all I can say. I agree with ryanmoth though: special edition facepalm indeed!
God, I... I don't understand. How... how do people mix up Star Trek and Star Wars? One's a futuristic sci-fi about transversing space and the other's about saving some princess from her father.
Oooh, freaky Dr. Who allusion... I hated that episode, it scared me so badly.
Actually, a Life Saver is EXACTLY what you want when you're underwater!
LMBO at the thread and your storyline, then did some more till I was ROF at the comments from readers. As always!
Great mashup, mixup, tosspot. Only thing missing was ... was... was... AVP. Well.. looking at those cakes again... maybe not.
Keep 'em rolling in the aisles!!
Congratulations, you made my eye twitch ;)
Excellent! I laughed so hard I spit my Penne Arribiata onto my tray!
My daughter would very likely ask for Sarah's Tink Vader cake.
Wonderful, nerd-filled post! Sarah's cake is totally awesome. I want one! (only with less tinkle, and why is there a "B" next to Vader?)
@zoomom - You're awesome.
Tinker Bell and Vader. Awesome wreckiness. That's all I've got.
I did not think it was possible to mash every movie/TV show in my favorites repertoire into one post. I've been proven wrong. Bravo.
The first cake is ....illogical. The Trekkie in me twitches in irritation.
As usual, the post had me rolling, tears streaming, and I won't deny it, I snorted, and made my 5 year old look at me like I was insane. I called him over, and he had a gigglefit of hysterical laughter. He said, "Mommy, they should have had YOU make their cakes."..... so true, son, so true. :D
Under neat that:
May the 4th be with you, and stuff.
That was awesome!
Wow! That was an awesome interpretation. Or as Yo Jabba Jabba might say, "Shiny!"
I was kind of hoping that Johnny 5 would be in there somewhere. *sniff*
I lurve ev AND Noodles!!!!
I used to work with someone who could have wreckerated that first cake, since her idea of good Sci-fi was the Jetsons (the origional Hanna Barbera cartoon). It completely frustrated all the Trekkies and Star War geeks, since she saw no difference between "Use the force, Luke" and "I'm a doctor, not a ...." It also made for some very confusing convos with her.
It's been said, but still, I must concur: Best. Post. EVER!!! And that first cake, OMG!!! Can't wait to show my hubby! He loves all things sci-fi, but still, that 1st cake is sacrilege!!!
I think the Tinkerbell ?Tinkle? (as others were sayin' ;-) & Vader cake is obvious - the kid's a girlie sci-fi fan, what else? I've seen split-personality cakes before - hasn't everyone? The other possibility is fraternal twins & the Wreckerator forgot to put the boy's name on Vader's side - wouldn't surprise anyone here, would it? (Hey, MAYBE that's why the "B" is next to Vader!!!)
@zoomom: So very good.
I have to politely disagree that the cake with Vader and Tink is a wreck. Tink looks like Tink, Vader looks like Vader, and just because Tink and Vader aren't two characters you'd think you'd see together on a cake doesn't mean it's a Wreck, it means the child has wide-ranging tastes. I don't remember how my birthday cakes were decorated in preschool, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if I'd had Strawberry Shortcake or Holly Hobbie and Vader or He-Man on at least one of them, because that's how I rolled.
Unless the wrinkles in the frosting are why it's here, in which case it likely qualifies.
Slimer? I thought that was shrek touching live conduit.
I am amazed that it took me until Yo Jabba Jabba to completely lose it. Probably had to do with the toddler climbing back and forth over my feet. I can't wait till his father gets home so I can see how long it takes him to fall into the Sarlacc pit from laughing.
#1 W1: "The customer wants a Star Wars cake. We have the figures, but no flotsam! What are we to do?"
W2: "Relax. We have Star Trek flotsam. No one will know the difference after I make a simple modification. You see, I convinced the White-Out people to make a fondant version of their correction tape, and I've been waiting for ages for a chance to use this blue gel. It blends right in with the gold of 'Star', don't you think? Yes, that's why I get the big bucks."
#4 No one caught CP3O yet? And what's with the blue crabs?
#5 I'd say Slimer 'decorated' those cupcakes. Ick. Yoda looks like a cactus.
#7 Wreckerator pro tip: Keep cats out of the bakery. Oh well, at least Tink is covered up for a change.
#8 Lucas has to quit messing with that film! Now there's a Yoda / Chewie mashup. In a mink coat.
#10 Yes, it should be 'properly'. But in the wreckerator's defense, maybe they didn't want to end a sentence with a supposition.
Live Long and Proper. Great advice. Almost as good as "Make Trek not War!"
Hysterical!
The only thing this is missing is the cake where Darth Vader is riding the My Little Pony with a Death Star on her butt. Maybe Tink got her.
Pew, pew!
@KarateLady: Hey! I like the fraternal twins idea (I've got a pair of 'em myself, so I could easily see this scenario happening), but why are you assuming that the twin who likes Vader is a boy? My fraternal twins are both girls, and for the record, one of them likes science, and all such "boy" things. I could easily see her requesting such a cake (except she doesn't happen to like Star Wars that much--she's more into Trek.) Have you never heard of Katie, the famed Star Wars girl, who was bullied for carrying a Star Wars water bottle and achieved Internet fame thereby? Many girls are sci-fi geeks, y'know.
CP3O -- That's hilarious, because that's what my little boy AND my hubby (just to mess with him) calls him ALL the time!! Can't wait to show my geek hubby and pre-teen these ....
@Andrea ... laughed so loud I disrupted the playdate!!
@zoomom ... well done!!
This one is adorable!

Favorite post ever
Should make this into a real movie! Wait...I have the perfect name for it! Space Balls!
...am I the only one who caught this? I was really confused reading, since I believe it is C-3PO and not CP3O but then no one else said anything, so I had to wikipedia it to check. Yep, it is C-3PO: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-3PO
Or is this another Epcot?
@zoomom- you roch!
@Craig- Lucas quit messing with us? Inconceivable!!
You may ask: is that next-to-last one Gollum or a green Gremlin? Well, courtesy of a FB ad, I was able to search yearbooks and it is actually the Creature from the Black Lagoon!! ur welcome.
I was crying :)
Now I want one of these for my birthday on Monday as well lol. Wow.. I wish my birthday was today though. All those interesting cakes and all.
HAhahahaah!! Yo Jabba Jabba had me on the floor!!!
I believe that the Princess Bride reference was my favorite.
what does "Accio" mean?
Shrek! You forgot Shrek! I think cake #8 looks like Shrek in a Yoda costume.
Slimer's Dagobah
sports most impressive plant life:
Silly string duckweed.
DON'T BLINK! BLINK AND YOU'RE DEAD!!! Hahaha! I love all this Geeky goodness!!! :D
This is such an epic post, Jen! I'm impressed you managed to sneak in a Princess Bride reference!
Yay!!!!!!
So glad you included Scully and Mulder!
they always get overlooked! :)
-Jj
This is one of your best post ever( and yes I have read them all). And no great post is compleat until there is a princess bride quote!!!
Border falling off and weird creases and random blob next to Vader aside... I'm a big fan of the Tinker Bell and Vader cake. You got to love a someone with such varied interests and likes :)
Cat-whiskered Slimer
calls out signature war-cry:
"Live long, you pooper!"
All you needed was a line that said, "I'm sorry, Luke, but your princess is on another planet." And this would have been perfect. Still, it's one of your best posts yet.
is that silly string on the "yoda" cake? (5th picture)
I love getting a picture onto CW :) I was busting up when I saw Star Wars Checkers at Smiths haha
Yay, Mully and Sculder! Er, I mean Scully and Mulder!
Also, I can't be the only one who thinks that the people who go around indignantly pointing out "mistakes" actually get a kick out of being scolds. "OMG your so supid, everone nows its r2d2!!1!!" Sigh...
