Royally Wrecked

Remember that cake with a perfectly drawn Gerber Baby on it that was supposed to be a Gerber daisy?
Yeah, I love that one.
So needless to say, my day has just been made by this "Princess Crown":
So. Not. Kidding.
And according to Anthony N., his sister Gia is actually terrified of clowns, so this "did not go over well." Awww. Poor Gia! Doesn't she know that Mr. Demon McFangs there just wants to play?
With her entrails?

Almost perfect, but not quite...
I'm not typically afraid of clowns, but if I saw that one coming, I'd run.
CLOWNS IS SCARY!!! Poor Gia, but being a princess, I'm sure she could kick the snot out of Mr. McFangs there! Perhaps bakeries need to start allowing orders to be submitted through the internet...or would that just open up a whole new door for wrecking? :)
That clown could be considered royalty in its culture. Horrifying, evil royalty.
Does he want to play with her entrails, or harvest them to use as balloon strings for his next cake?
As a Princes CLOWN...shouldn't he be female? The whole thing is silly, if you misheard, at least execute what you THINK you heard! :P And ultimately, would not a princess clown, wear a princess crown?...At which point the decorator may go...ohhhhhhhhhh...lol
maybe the decorator was Chinese....their Ls tend to become Rs....so maybe vice versa? they were trying to compensate?
like so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46WcFObgYhI
Um, btw, its a gerbera daisy, not Gerber. Just sayin'.
If I were Gia I would sue the pants off the bakery, if a woman can get a million from McD's for having the audacity to serve her hot coffee, I am sure the mental trauma of this cake is sufficient grounds.
LOL...and that clown's got awfully small balloons....
@ Sharyn -- that's gross...in a wonderful, heart-warming way....please pass the fava beans....
Auuuuuggghhhhh I am not afraid of clowns, but that one is creepy D:
I think the scariest thing about this clown is really, It should know not to wear purple and pink together with that bright red make up. The color clash is really unacceptable. Now, if IT decided to go with some lovely teal make up, then it might work. I think we need to call in Tim Gunn.
Japanese does not have Rs and Ls in their language. The Chinese do.
The poor child, though, to receive a clown when they are scary. It's because the basic features are so distorted that it's a common fear. I think she'll need some therapy after this.
Why?
There are other clowns- why choose the one from Stephen King's twisted mind???
Let's impose a fine on any cake, cookie, ccc (ptooie), donut, king cake, danish, sacker torte, candy or any other supposedly edible food item from being decorated like a clown.
Sentence them to eat dirt. :)
mocking
God no, another It/Pennywise flashback!! Stephen King has a lot to answer for....
Well, at least everything was spelled right. I think. I kind of didn't read it.
Awwww, poor Gia!!! Kinda boggles the mind that bakeries don't repeat back when people order so that they can be assured of making the right thing!
Hate clowns. Hate, HATE, HATE clowns. Have hated them for almost 47 years. Evil, nasty things. Poor Gia. I would not touch that cake.
Was in a Halloween store last week, and right by the door they had a 7 ft clown with a horrid face and burning eyes. I'm glad I saw it as I was leaving the store, not when I first arrived.
KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!
The balloons don't look like sperm, but they don't look like balloons either. I think Princess Bozo has an enormous cyst sprouting from his left temple. This could be a problem for someone whose entire job description is "be funny" (even benign cranial tumors are a real killjoy), but our intrepid clown has made the best of the situation, painting his abscess in festive colors and attaching a handful of strings. Unfortunately, constantly clutching those strings has caused his hand to swell to several times its normal size, but the show must go on.
"They all FLOOOOOOAAAAAT down here, Gia..."
Oh my gosh, this had me laughing so hard! Poor Gia!!
So did they ask for a crown on the cake or a clown on the cake? If her parents ordered this cakethey must have known she was scared of clowns, but it's a simple enough mistake to make, especially if the assistant who took the order was a non-native speaker of English.
@GrnEyes6, visit any comment board other than this one and you'll see why Internet orders would not improve things even slightly. Or just imagine a texted order not (or incorrectly) translated into regular English before being inflicted on a cake.
Besides, orders are often transmitted verbally within the shop, so even if a deputy Spelling / Grammar Police officer sent the order, there would still be plenty of opportunity for things like today's specimen.
On another note, I would just like to add: Gerber Gerber Gerber Gerber! Bwahahaha!!
I can totally see someone with an Asian accent telling the decorator. "Crown. Customer wants a crown on the cake" and the decorator thinking, "OK, CLOWN it is!"
wow even for someone not afraid of clowns, why'd they have to make him look so scary!!??
LOL! My daughter's name is Gia. I've got her next birthday cake idea locked in now! thanks for the help! I make all my kid's birthday cakes... but this one would not pass even my low standards!
This gives a new meaning to CCC - Creepy Clown Cake!
Definitely NOT as wished!
Shame on all of you. Since when was it funny to laugh at scaring a small child, let alone on her birthday?
Thank you, Craig.
I wanted to say it, but didn't wan't to start an EPCOT.
Now I feel free to repeat it: Gerber, Gerber, Gerber...
Safety Clown says: Think about it.
LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!!!!!
I completely understand her fear. Why? Because "Can't sleep, clowns will eat me". That's why.
And thank you for those nightmares! I am with Gia (inhuman happy all the time I want to eat you plague carrying clowns!) and will join her hiding under the blankets. Warn a girl next time you have a horror cake up! (and clowns makeup really is suppose to mimic the systems of the plague, just like Ring Around the Rosy is about dying of the plague, yay for the parts of history I remember!)
For a different Princess, there is a Princess Bride cast reunion on Good Morning America tomorrow - Fri. Should be fun to see them all again.
I dont like clowns 8 -(
It almost looks like the clown from the movie "IT"!! Ruuuunnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!
Gee, Val, just make CCC (patooie) even worse. Fine. From now on CupCake Cakes will now be referred to as C.O.U.S.s (Cakes of Unusual Shape).
I have spoken.
Is it just me, or does the clown look a little like Ronald McDonald?? Er, Zombie Ronald McDonald that is
@ Jess - That would be Ronald McZombie, Big Mack's evil twin ... um, MORE evil twin.
I really hope they returned the cake considering the poor girl is afraid of clowns. Man what a cruel thing to do on her birthday no less. Evil, evil wreckerators. I can tell they loved Stephen King's IT hence scary clown lol.
@ Kelli
Thank you. That totally made my morning. :)
I'm not normally terrified of clowns, but Pennywise terrifies me.... poor Gia
If CCC is now Creepy Clown Cakes, how long before someone comes up with a CCCCC - Creepy Clown Cup Cake Crap?
Bahahahahaha!!! I love these kinds of posts...they actually achieve what they *think* they're supposed to be doing.
As a former cake decorator, I think I would have hesitated when I read "Princess Clown." I'm thinking a phone call to the customer would have been in order.
I don't really get the fear of clowns...the only clown that ever scared me was Pennywise from It. Otherwise, no fear for me.
But this clown...
It's pretty terrifying.
This is the best!
What an interesting design for this cake. I hope Gia wasn't too frightened by it.
I would have probably cried if I were to see this cake in person. I find the photo even traumatizing!!
I'm terrified of clowns, too, Gia. I don't blame you...they're CREEPY! (Can't sleep the clowns will eat me) This cake is gonna give me nightmares for a week. And thanks a lot for the entrails comment, Jen, that didn't help my nightmares either. UGH! What was this baker thinking?!
How bad must spelling mistakes get??!!?!?I zzzzz78759, your comment was actually rather stereotypical and racist. I am disgusted by racists.
