What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

And F For Phonics

Reagan ordered a cake that said, "Look Who's Six!"

Instead she got a real hoot:

Owl really?

Bethany wanted to keep it simple, so she asked for a cake with just "Happy Birthday" on it - no name, no number.

...and she still got a big no-no:

Bonus: I just realized they spelled it "Brithday."

And finally, Esther's office cake was supposed to say, "Great Sales Effort This Month!"

...so I guess they get an A for Effort.

Thanks to Reagan S., Bethany B., & Esther G. for the concerted affert.

Of Newspapers And Key Wangs

Q: What did Sarah get when she ordered a newspaper cake like this for her Dad's birthday?

(by Jo's Cakes)

A: Something black and white and wrecked all over.

(On the plus side, at least it wasn't for a big milestone birthday or anyth... oh.)

I hear these guys are out standing in their field:

Suh-WHEAT!

So do you think Kati needs help healing or falling?

Either way, at least we know what the baker could do better.

"Gimme an E!
"Gimme an R!
"What's that spell?"

DANGIT, BARB.

And finally, how do I know this is supposed to be a car key?

Because I'm a sporty little number, and it's TURNING ME ON.

Heyyyyooooo!!

(Just kidding.)

(I'm not sporty.)

Thanks to Sarah R., Min, Kati, Edward P., & Jennifer T., who much prefers driving a hard... bargain.
