What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Super Bowl Showdown

Hey, I hear there's a big game this weekend! Anybody know who's playing?

....

....

So, no, huh?

Well, not sure how many of those teams will be playing, exactly, but I know who I'M rooting for:

GO, PATRITOS!!

Thanks to Bethany G., Alyssa F., Samantha S., Kristy F., Molly S., Amber G., & Katie S. for that stirring display of patritoism.

How I feel about foot ball. :P

Si los Patritos ganar la Superbowl, serĂ¡ el pastel victoria serĂ¡ adornada con balones desinflados?

I used to root for the Schawks when I lived in Brooklyn (Go, Big Whites!) but I stopped when they moved to Seattle and changed their name.

The saddest part is, "Pats" is an acceptable way to refer to the team. If you didn't know how to spell Patriots. Why would you try? You could just write "Pats".

I guess the "author" of cake #2 was so chuffed at getting the Roman numerals for 48 correct, that they zoned out on the Seahawks part. (Yes, it is probably last year's cookie)

GO SEAHAWLES!!!!

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterJoJo

Patritos sounds like a drink that could cause a nasty morning after: "Dos grandes patritos, poor favor".
But for me, it's the Seahawles all the way! *kermit flail*

Patritos sounds like an awesome bowl of chips!

Like Doritos with Cheetos, only deflated.

Again, anyone for "Spelchek"? (spellcheck)

I see we have a new wreckorator device introduced in #3: Poo-sperm. May it live long and prosper. Or go forth and multiply. Or, not.
Really. Not.

Ahhh... I can actually see some enterprising snack company using that last one, and cashing in on the royalties big time if the team (that it's not-quite-named-for) wins. (One guess, and the first one doesn't count.) =^-.-^=

Patritos sound tasty!

I could go for some Patritos now. As for me, I will be watching the puppy bowl. Much cuter action.

The Patrios. Orange and Black. Just like the Cincinnati Bengals. Sigh. . . .

However, "pooh sperm" is a term that has made my day. Thank you, Colin M.!

I would love to eat a bowl of Patritos and dip while watching the Seahawks deflate the Patriots. And I think we need to invent a cocktail to go along with this!

I was impressed that someone is celebrating 90 Pat roits. Do you think they'll make it to 100?

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBeth

"Seahawles" well that's only one letter away from being correct, I guess they decided it was "close enough".

I don't know what's worse about #4, the misspelling, turning the hawk mascot into pac-man, or making said pac-man look like a blue "power-pellet-ized" ghost.....

I just wish that there was a "LIKE" button on these comments! :)

@Evie_M PUPPY BOWL! Squeeeeeeeee

I'll be watching it too, with a nice big bowl of Patritos, dipped in melted cheese, perhaps Velvitos.

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterAngelaS

I'm stuck wondering why Blue Pac Man is a Seahawles fan?

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterMelenie

I'll take a bowl of Seahawle chowder and a bag of Patritos please. Oh and can I get a table by the TV so I can watch the game?

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterCindyLoo

Do the Patritos come in nacho cheese flavor?

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa

Colin Mochrie is a CakeWrecks commenter? Kewl!

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterHappy Camper

Sometimes I look at these and wonder.......then I realize there have been days I have worked around 15 hours and I have spelled bon voyage bon voyge.

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterCher

What is that thing in #1, next to the "properly inflated" ball of the Patrios? Is it a bone? WHY?

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBluebonnet

I plan to much on Patritos while watching the game.

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered Commenterpikkewyntjie

I wonder if I could get a bag of Patritos Chips? Cheese flavor?

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBecky

"Poo sperm"? CRYING

January 27, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterStLMom

Hmm looks like there i some sort of football game on this weekend. Lol I can't seem to avoid it anywhere. Ah well at least the wreckerators created their own team with patriotitos. Those sound good to me lol.
