Oh, great. Now I've got "Under the Sea" stuck in my head. Where I'm sure it will remain for the next several weeks as my co-workers repeatedly stop to ask me why I keep coming back to this sight just to giggle at the caricature topper(did you see the lipstick stains on the groom?!) and sob at the piano-player one.
P.S. Why is the "princess bride" topper birds? Inconceivable!
The sheep on cake four are from a British short Disney Channel licensed a few years ago called "Shaun the Sheep." It's the cutest thing ever. They expanded the concept to Disney Junior with the baby sheep (on the second to top tier) and his adventures in pre-school in a show called "Timmy Time." It's adorable. Both shows are hilarious and full of British humor, even the educational "Timmy Time." I'm not sure if it's a show in the UK or not, but it only played in the US for a short time, and I miss it now that it's not on anymore. I do think it's on Netflix, if you want to check it out.
For what it's worth, I think the park one is covered in Shaun the Sheep sheeps. It's an adorable claymation cartoon series by the Wallace and Grommit folks. Available on Netflix streaming!

I believe that the 3rd cake is a homage to Shaun the Sheep which, really, you need to be aware of if you're not already!!! SO FUNNY!
The Rock Em Sock Em Robots cake topper reminds of Sweet Home Alabama! It was Melanie and Jake's cake topper during their wedding at the end of the movie.

A friend of mine's husband is a professional piano and organ player. To propose, he wrote her a song, then played it for her. She has a tattoo of the sheet music on her arm. :)

And so exciting to see Shaun the Sheep and Timmy on a cake! Shaun was originally in the Wallace and Gromit short "Close Shave", and then got his own show. As others have said, it, and Timmy Time, are both on Netflix, and well worth catching!
The groom on the caricature cake is scaring me a little, but I do admire the skill involved in that and the other cakes. All the birds and the Serengeti cake in particular-- just darling!

Thank you for featuring our cake and cupcakes! Even the scenario was spot on - except that I'm the professor and he's a Kiwi surfer (Peachy even copied the design on his red surfboard).
I love all of both the sea cake, and the Serengeti one. Also, I must get round to seeing more of Shaun the Sheep; I haven't seen any, but I loved "A Close Shave".
The smaller birds look like they haven't finished hatching from yellow-dyed eggs.

Ok, so I'll have to check out Shaun the Sheep ;) But I need The Princess Bride birds explained to me. The blue one looks like a cross between Gonzo and a kiwi while the yellow one is more like egg meets Eggbert. "Ah say, Ah say..."
Just one question--why did we feel the need to make the Princess Bride and Groom birds? Oh, well...As you wish!

Nobody has mentioned so far how amazing that piano is! Seriously, I think it has the right number of keys for an actual piano. And the inside is all detailed, and the music stand part is correct... I was half-expecting to see little tiny hammers inside! (Wait, are there? I can't quite tell!) And the figurines have completely cute faces and don't look the slightest bit wonky, and you're absolutely right about that adorable hair curl. Fantastic!
That last cake is gorgeous! I love the rays and the octopus, even without the maracas!
I think I'm the only naughty one here who's wondering how the merman is stuck onto the cake...

the last cake is stupefying. I'd get married just so I could have that. (swoon) the details, the rich colors, the proportions! ahhhhhhhhhhhh
These are all amazing! The Serengeti one is breathtakingly beautiful, the sheep are adorable, the RESE robots are hilarious and the cake they're on is really pretty (though the mismatch between the two just makes it even funnier), the little reading and surfing birds are so cute (and I love the matching cupcake favors!), the cake the caricatures are sitting on is so visually different and wonderful (and I love the lipstick prints on his face and the grins on the pair of them), the cake bearing the Titanic couple is really gorgeous in its colors and details, the 'doodle' pair is so unique and cute (and their cake and cupcakes are very striking), the lovebird cake is lovely, the piano serenade makes me smile so much, and the mermaids are unbelievable in the level of detail and texture. Did I forget anyone? I would be beside myself with joy to have any one of those cakes at my wedding!

The birds cake looks like it was the inspiration for the Tornado Cake (not to be confused with funnel cake).
The piano is incredibly accurate, even to the felt damper strip on the bass strings. If it was made for the occasion, I might have to do the guy equivalent of a squee (Tim Taylor 'oh-oh-oh', perhaps). I just hope it isn't edible -- I'd hate to think of that much detail going into something that then disappears in a chorus of 'noms'.
Then... "Are you a real merman?" "Yes. Just don't call me 'Ethel' -- you can't believe how tired I am of hearing that. And no, I don't sing. Well, maybe in the shower..."
I'll be along to the Bunker shortly -- I was thinking perhaps some Venezuelan Beaver cheese or some Japanese Sage Darby would be nice. I'll just nip over to the National Cheese Emporium to engage in some commerce. I might be a while...

There I was scrolling through the posts thinking, "Oh, that's nice." "Yes, very pretty."
Then I hit the last picture and my jaw rebounded off the desk. Maracas would be perfect too.
Please tell me that the merman is held up by something, anything, other than what comes into my admittedly not-so-pristine mind. He really should have some visible means of support. Literally. These are all amazing cakes.

The sheep with the dummy in is Timmy and the others are Shaun alikes. Timmy Time still airs on Cbeebies (the BBC's channel for younger children) in the UK and Shaun The Sheep shows on their older kids channel, both are brilliant and well loved by all ages over here. And yes it does *have* to be Wensleydale, preferably a nice bit thereof. :D
That mermaid/man cake is beyond fabulous. The attention to detail on the sharks and rays is... Just... WOW!!!!
I imagine the mermaid cake to be something like what Peeta made for Finnick and Annie in Mockingjay (The Hunger Games).

The piano topper is beautiful, but it's kind of insulting to anyone who's ever written a song for someone to compare that to Edward Cullen. In fact, it's insulting to anyone who's ever written a song, ever.
I think the caricature cake bride looks like Chelsea Clinton.
