Freaky Friday
I've heard things can get a little creepy in bakeries after dark, but I'm sure that's all just in people's heads.
Er... right?
So, um... heh, say, what do you suppose is in this big hump?
I mean, not that I'm worried or anything...
But seriously, WHAT'S IN THE HUUUUMP?
o.0
Well, golly, look at the time!
I really must be goAAAAAAAUUUGH!!
Please don't open your eyes, please don't open your eyes, pleasedon'topenyoureyes...
Thanks to Jeremy C., Alana F., Karin K., Nicole B., Rose C., & Anony M. for not including pics of just the eye on a plate. Because I need to sleep again someday.

Well, at least she's not winking at me.
I think she needs to see her ophthalmologist. She's blinking too often
Maybe a psychologist to help with her nervous tic..
1) It's the goalpost monster. He's the real reason the Rams couldn't get in the end zone in the Super Bowl.
2) The giant puppy monster about to swallow the poor fellow taking his siesta. He'll never know what bit him.
3) Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
4) I guess the dog from the previous cake got up on the bed and left something behind on the bedspread for Barbie.
5 & 6) The Blob is pregnant.
7 & 8) "B" sci-fi movie head on a lab table, anyone?
---Is that AVOCADO on your face, or are you just happy to scream me...? =^-.-^=
What occasion calls for a vicious dog gnawing on a baseball glove? (The lace curtains behind add a nice touch.)
Well, the last one is a Day at the Spa, but the rest of them? I'm not quite as concerned about the hump as I am about the little man hanging out of the mouth of the dog(?) in the second photo. Yeesh.
WHAT'S UNDER (or IN) THE HUMP, you ask...?.........?.......
Why, THAT is a PREGNANT PAUSE....(Y'all have heard of those, haven't you?).......Well, HAVEN'T you?
=^-.-^=
While there are some really odd cakes here, I'm mostly concerned over the "vermicelli cream" cake. Is there a meaning to "vermicelli" I am unaware of? I mean, it is a shape of pasta, right?
What the heck are the first and second ones supposed to be? Is the first one just a weird character or is it a really bad depiction of a Native American? The second one has the scary glitter face (WHY would anyone want to eat red glitter frosting!? Your tongue would look diseased after that!) and then it looks like a man, sleeping or looking down, in a sombrerro, on the tongue. To add to the weirdness, it has a ladybug border. AAAiiiiiiigh!
What is that BUMP????
You know that second cake had to do it to em.
Ai yi yi, what *is* that in the second picture???
What is the second one even meant to be????
Vermicelli Cream - WUT!?
So a cake full of gooey worrms?
The Barbie in Bed reminds me of the old original CSI (set in Las Vegas) show, particularly the one where the killer created little dioramas of death scenes, then he would go out and recreate the scene in real life. Now I NEED to know where that baker is so I can make sure to never go anywhere near where he/she is!!!
The "bump" or "bubble" is air. It happens when a cake is "too well sealed" by frosting to the board. This happens a lot when a cake is chilled (typical for a grocery store cake as this looks to be since they come in frozen) before frosted.
The rest....well, I have no words.
The pink one! Dr. Pimple Popper cake!
I kind of don't think I ever want to find out what was under that hump thing..who knows what that was hiding. And thanks for that last picture now I won't sleep for a nice while lol.
HOW did they bake the cake to blink like that??? Is there a motor in it? HOW do they bake the cake with the motor in it? Doesn't that break the motor?
I think the pink bump might be a candidate for Dr. Sandra Lee, on TLC...
That lump? It's identical to what you'd see on Dr. Pimple Popper!
Why does the second one from the top have letters for ears and a sombrero for a nose? Quoting The Princess Bride: “What is that _thing_?”
I can't stop obsessing again over the second concoction! I just realized it has an antennae hat on, similar to Mickey ears. Is it a dog dressed up as a lady bug? That would explain the ladybug border I noted above, but not the weird creature placed where the tongue should be.
C'mon you guys...we all know the bump on the pink case is really hiding a dead mouse.
@Mike
Ooh! The Brain That Wouldn't Die! I guess that cake is the sequel, where "Jan in the pan" goes to the spa?
Cake # 5/6
Joke 1: "What hump?"
Joke 2: Looks like a Chestburster getting ready to, well, burst....better nuke it from orbit...it's the only way to be sure...
Maybe the Bump cake is for Dr. Pimple Popper. It’s up to her to figure out what it is. Lipoma? Cyst? I don’t want to see what comes out when she squeezes it though.
