What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

At Least They're Not Staplers?

Thanks to Makaria R. & Tina, who have "upper management" written all over them.

...Sorry about that, ladies.

I don't know... I kinda want that bubblegum cake.

January 28, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterDegera

wait...let's talk about that last one. The label says "brownies uniced." Why are the un-iced brownies yellow? what are they covered in?

..........................they took my stapler...........................
...............gonna burn the bakery down.........................

This was great! I used to work in the bakery of a major grocery chain, and this is something I would have done...not the candy...the STAPLER! :)

I love it!!! Office Space (and THOJ) days are the best!

What would you say you do here?

January 28, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterChrisDubya

Chiming in for the stick figure drawing love. :)

I have to say, these were a lot better than I imagined, which were random icing squiggles all over the place. That gum cake looks like it took a lot of effort, I must say.

…So, did people take the cakes outside and beat them afterward?

January 28, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterYet another Jen

DOTS. DOTS are good. Whatever else somebody might put on a cake, DOTS are fine by me.

January 28, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterChas

I worked in a grocery store bakery for way too long as a cake decorator. I averaged 50 decent quality cakes a day. I can see how a more novice decorator would do these in a panic.

That stapler in the cake is perfect lol. I loved these :D

How do you do those eyes? You can SEE what the figure is thinking.

Even better: the stapler should be baked into the cake.

January 29, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMorag

Someday when I retire, I want a red stapler on my retirement cake. (An actual stapler, not an icing one.)

January 29, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLisaM

this is so fucking funny

January 29, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterMollyy

You seem to have conflated Lumbergh with the "pieces of flair" guy.

January 29, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterClassic Steve

Becky they might be using a different definition "Uniced definition is - not containing or chilled with ice : not specially cooled."

January 29, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLeAnna

And does anyone know where all those germs wrappers have been?

January 29, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterDeborah

Flair!!! The cakes all have FLAIR!!!
