The Far Side Of The Bakery

During the traditional "Ongo Longo" dance, the natives express thanks for the year's crops, the tribe's health, and for the glandular defect running rampant in the island's pigs.
The scientists found that results were mixed. Some mice seemed to enjoy the whistling spleen, while others were petrified beyond all bowel control.
As the minutes ticked by, Elmo realized with dawning horror that this was one staring contest he might not win.
Batman would later have cause to regret his rather insensitive "manual control" quip.
Wall-E considered. On the one hand, he adored Eve and wanted to make her happy. But on the other, he was surrounded by mounds of crap.
Thanks to Susan S., Beth M., Kimmi D., Bianca S., & Karen P. for the wrecks, and to Gary Larson for allowing me to be raised on The Far Side.

Ahehehehe :P
CCC Elmo DOES look a bit stressed.....and could someone give him a drop or two of visine? His eyes look as if he'd gotten into the vanilla extract again.....
=^-.-^=
Some pig!
That mouse v/s spleen made me LOL
I think it's meant to be a Soup Dragon on the Clanger planet.

you'd only know it if you grew up with The Clangers
1. I thought the real problem was having two 2's for a 2nd birthday rather than a 22nd.
2. Is that a pink ocarina?
3. Elmo's in the pink, but that doesn't mean he looks healthy.
4. What's with all the white icing at Batman's feet? Was Mr. Freeze here?
5. To be fair, WALL-E does come from a wasteland.
Maybe that second one is an RUS and one of those things that shoots fire out of the ground from Princess Bride?? Maybe.
I am so glad I was not the only one who saw a pink ocarina. This proves I am in the right place on the internet.
'Whistling Spleen" is the name of my new band.. come see us!!
Oh man these cakes lol. They just keep getting wreckier and wreckier and I love it :D
Ah, yes...the whistling spleen cake. Still as much of a mystery as when it was first posted. I usually can puzzle out what the baker was going for (not sure what that says about me) but I've never been able to decipher this one. I've puzzled and puzzled, until my puzzler was sore. Any ideas?
I love your 'Far Side of the Bakery" posts!
Oh my word- your captions had me dying!
The Elmo with bleeding eyes was hilarious! I love how you don't tell us everything.
I'm a year late to this, but I've been reading the archives and I was puzzling over the whistling spleen cake, and I have a theory: I think it might be a mouse on a giant cat face. The "spleen" is the cat's nose, and those little groups of three dots are those whisker spot things.
