I'm totally in love w/the rooster. I collect rooster/chicken figurines. All these cakes are so beautiful !!!!!
I'm thinking the texture on the carrot cake is coloured coconut.
I think the fuzzy-looking carrot one is dyed coconut.
The rooster cake is amazing! I would like it just as an ornament around the house so I could enjoy it all the time.

The texture on the cake might be dyed...shredded wheat. I kid you not. My sister made a 'nest' cake for Easter dessert, and the outside was dyed shredded wheat. Pretty dang good, really.
Coconut? Shredded wheat? Have you heard what some people think a cheesecake is? They bake an ordinary cake, with icing as usual, and put grated cheese all over it. Seriously, I have tasted it. Not much though.

And what I wouldn't give to be able to paint on paper like the hand painted cake! Is the bunny on that cake texturizing? He looks "fuzzy" on my screen.
