What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Like You Need Any: More Weird Reasons To Buy Cake

Need more excuses to eat cake, minions? Then I'VE GOT YA COVERED.

Why not celebrate:

The Birth of Man

A little esoteric perhaps, but if anyone asks, just say you're being sarcastic.

A Really Nice Meadow:

For those out standing in their fields.

Calling Dibs On The Front Passenger's Seat:

A Good Steak?

At least, I assume that's what this diagram is.
(Why celebrate steak with cake? Because cake is better than steak, duh.)

How Many Cakes You've Had:

So meta. I love it.

Anyone else wondering what your number would be? 'Cuz if we're counting slices from separate cakes, then the CW Book Tours alone mean I've got most of you beat. [Wistfully remembers the days when I got a slice of cake every night after each show.] Ahhh. Good times.

Hang on, I'm not sure this is something to be celebrated, but cake DOES help:

It better be chocolate.

In fact, this next one is a MUCH better occasion for cake, am I right, ladies?

Thanks to Juliann B., Ramona R., Jennifer E., Julie S., Jennie R., Katy T., & Amanda M. for inspiring a generation of future hysterectomy cakes.

Why does the PMS cake have a red rim???

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterFrankN.Stein

To be honest, I think the cow cake is adorable!

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterMrsLittle

If Peppa Pig had a "cow friend", the cow friend would look just like that cake, I think...

Who's Mev? And what does he have to do with the birth of man? I'm so confused.

Is it sad that I read that last cake as Arnold Schwarzenegger, because my mind said "Ovulator sounds like Terminator" Let's Just hope it won't be back.

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered Commentermax

These are a hoot and a half! As a pasture's kid and a former ovulatory, I do appreciate these cakes. (The Squire cackles when he laughs, and it's as much fun listening to him, as it is reading these gems.)

"Shot Gun" could also be the caption of a wedding cake. TMI, though.

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterMaria

Is that.... a Minecraft Mooshroom CCC??

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterMello

At first I read that last one as "Oralator," and I was trying to figure out what that was. My mind ranged from a misspelling of "orator" to some very dirty things!

See ya later, Ovulator. After a while, Cock-o-Dail. ;-)

I'm with MrsLittle, the cow cake is disturbingly cute, however, is it a cupcake cake (ptooie!)?

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterD'Marie

The Perpetual Motion Squad will be 9 years old in April. Save that cake.

Ahhhh, perfect day for birthday cakes. Today is my sons 5th birthday (and right now he is saying, "Oh my sweet Jesus"). I have no idea where he picked that up. Anyhoot, I can't wait to see what the bakery gives us for his cake tomorrow...............side note, my husband is a butcher and digs the cow cake

Hey Fellow Wreckaholics...Cows are being fed Skittles, and cake, annnd cookies. Seriously. CNN Article in today's post. Can't make this stuff up! Hilarious read too. So, there ya go, from cow cakes, to cows eating cakes with skittles no less! Fantastic! thanks for laughs yet again Jen and John (thoj). Luv you guys!

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterCookiemama

I think I might want my next birthday cake to say "Happy 40th Cake!" I kinda like that.

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterBeth C.

I thought the second cake said "We appreciate your posture."

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterPegasusKnightmare

Not only is cake better than steak but the "steak" was a CCC (phtooie) with a mustache. And when was the last time you saw a cow with a mustache? But I have to wonder if it was marble cake.....

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterKyle

So is the PMS Birthday cake for the "birthday" of her PMS (some unspecified number of years ago)? Or does the poor gal have PMS on her birthday?

January 20, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterTwinMom

Wondering if the "ovulator" cake was a for someone's celebration of getting her (or his wife's) tubes tied.

January 21, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterSandra

Oh man I want that pms birthday cake. Just for laughs you understand lol. Heck I think if I have pms I deserve cake dang it.

Wasn't this Friday? (Well, not NOW, but...)
Friday Faves/Favs....whatever...
I'm so more-confused-than-my-normal self kinda confused....
Ay caramba....
I'd go back to bed, but I'm already in it....

Re: the second one: I appreciate a good pasture as much as the next person, but for the sake of "continuity of theme", maybe instead of a cake, there should have been a ......cow pie......?

January 21, 2017 | Unregistered Commentersendingtheclowns

Apparently today is both National Hugging Day & Squirrel Appreciation Day. Don't combine those two. Just really...don't.

(Although either, or both, would definitely be a weird reason to get cake.)
