These cakes are so gorgeous, but does that first one have a small metal hook holding the cow up?! I'm seriously hoping the moon and cow are a non-edible topper on the cake.
I had to check out "Cakes by Beth" to understand why Yoda has a beak.. in case you also are not a smart phone gamer it's a mash-up with Angry Birds!

The problem with any of these (but especially the TARDIS cake or the Discworld cake...) is that I wouldn't want to cut into it. Maaaybe I could bring myself to taste test an inconspicuous bit. Of course, if that first bite was very, very good, then I'd have to eat more to make absolutely sure. You know, for science.
Discworld! Guess I'd always pictured A'Tuin as more of a land turtle but the sea turtle makes more sense.
Nicely done Sharyn. I really love the "V" cake, but I'd also like to know what Yoda's cake says!
I am not one who squees, but that pigtailed astronaut made me come darn close. The V cake is so well done--glamour in the front, party in the back. Anyone else think that Zebra is the animal cake version of Joey Tribbiani? I can almost hear him saying, "How YOU doin'?"

I really loved the Discworld cake. I am a BIG Pratchett fan. You can even see Cori Celesti in the middle. Too bad that Ankh-Morpork would be too small to see.
The Tardis cake is perfect. I almost expect to see Tom Baker poking his head out of the door.

P.S. I think Yoda's cake says "Well, You Have Done".

I've been asked to visit a local kindergarten class for their school's Everybody Reads Day (I'm proud to be recognized for my ability to read at a K-1 level!) If you could just get this alphabet book published and delivered to me by Tuesday, I'd really appreciate it. So would the kids!

I'm very glad someone explained about Yoda's beak because I neither have a smart phone, nor am I a gamer. Wonderful cakes, as always- loved the Lego cake and the Discworld cake. But that Ratatouille cake is simply astonishing. I am just awestruck. Wow- doing a cake of that scale, and all that detail- wow. Wonder how long that took?
@Southern Fried Pugs - not only does it make more sense, in British English, there is no such thing as a land-turtle - that would be known as a tortoise. So in referring to A'Tuin as a turtle, there's no doubt Pratchett is referring to something akin to the water-dwelling creature. (just thought I'd weight in, cos I was like "what the hell is a land-turtle?!")
On an unrelated note...OMG dat Lego wedding cake... love love love.

I love them all (really! LOVE) but the meerkat sitting on the Zebra's butt looking into the binoculars is probably my fave. Understated hilarity.
The pinwheel cake is a terrific idea for someone who isn't yet a master-class baker - not difficult but really really pretty.
