Friday Favs 10/24/14

Some of my favorite submissions this week:
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so it's nice to see bakers doing their part:
...to make pink ribbons look like ding-a-lings.
You know how they say the most important thing is to just never stop trying?
Please stop trying, bakers.
Please.
Mary ordered a cupcake cake (patooie!) in the shape of a number 6 for her daughter, but I guess the baker ran out of cupcakes, so...
This birthday is brought to you by 3/4 of the number 0.
Thanks for nothing.
How Twitter has ruined us all:
#Wrecktastic
And finally, Catherine told the baker her son's name was "Stephen with a PH."
She got this:
Thanks to Amber G., Diana E., Mary G., Meredith N., & Catherine J. for the phweet phurprise.

Pheven...I can't even take it.
…Oh phor Pheet's phake!
Oh bakers, are you phupid or what! You really muph phop and think before you phart decorating, and lisphen to what the cuphomer tells you. Iph juph common sense!
Pho the baker miphpelled the kid'ph name. I've pheen worphe. Aph for the the breapht cancer awarnephph cupcakeph, I think it'ph nice that men with deformed penipheph are phupporting women who are battling cancer.
Now the ccc (patooie!) may not be a miphtake at all. Perhapph Mary'ph daughter waph ALMOPHT phix. Did anyone think of that?
Letph all make an effort to be more conphiderate and leph judgemental when aphephphing the work of America'ph cake decoratorph. Even when that work phuckph (oh dear, that'ph lookph worphe than what I intended to phay!)
Have a pleaphant Phaturday and Phunday everyone!
I think that last cake was ordered for Phteven. So close.
ding-a-lings...a favorite at Chuck Berry concerts everywhere.....
What is an "Attorey"?
You've heard the slogan "Save the ta-tas"? It's now been expanded.
And as for Stephen/Pheven, 2 reasons he won't care:
1) At 4, I doubt he can read, and;
2) That color scheme doesn't make it very easy to distinguish the lettering.
His mom'll probably be lucky if he doesn't eat the balloons.
I don't know why, but Pheven is just so dang phunny!!!!
Yup, that cake was definitely for Phteven! http://memecrunch.com/meme/14J7B/phteven/image.png
Did anyone else read the "boo" donuts in the voice of the Ancient Booer?
As for the last cake, all I have to say is, pheriouphly? Pheeph.
Phor crying out loud...some people need to be told to breathe >:(
I hope Pheven had a wonderful Birthby... or is it Bidhby?
Maybe Phteven was turning pheven years old instead of stour?
Oh, PhuBee!! That waph hilariuoph!!!I (It's a wonder they didn't ask, "Is that, like, some kinda special diploma, huh?") For the CCC that looks like a "C" with the mumps, my almost-first thought was that "Hello Kitty" could become "Hello, Emergency Dentist" if the kid bites into one of the cute little Flotsam triplets.
(...And hey, 3/4 of 0 is still zero!)=^~.~^=
Can't even get the "T" in Phteven. How hard is it really, bakers, phor crying out loud?
I so relate to poor Phteven! Signed Fibi, Feebee, CB, or the unimaginable, Phoebe.
@Step - I did too!!
Attorey @ law. They're not even trying anymore.
There is honestly no excuse for these cakes. Some day I will give them the benefit of the doubt but not this day!
The lapht one...it'ph the first wreck that'ph made me hoot for quite phome time.
@ SuBee...I would SWEAR that you were speaking in "Igor-ese" or maybe it's "Igor-ian". Have you been to Uberwald lately? I hear ith lovely thith time of year. (sorry, I couldn't seem to get the umlaut over "U" to work on my keyboard inside this site) Maybe you are actually speaking "Fritz-ian" since you are using the ph instead of the th...at any rate, very clever and quite amusing!
My son's name is also Stephen and his "birthby" is in 2 weeks. This site is always a great motivator for me to keep making my kids' cakes myself!
How phupid can you get!!
I love cakes wrekph there is no danger of me spiting breakfast all over my computer as it is 8:30pm by the time I get to read the posts (I live in England) i did however almost choke on my own saliva. thank you for making me laugh after a bad day.
@SuBee just broke spellcheck!
Now I have Alice Cooper's "Steven" going through my head! I haven't heard that song in years, but now I need to listen to it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L_xmc7d5rM
Or maybe I should rename it Pheven.
Have you pheen the way phome people phell their kidph nameph thephe dayph? It'ph ridiculouph.
Doughnuts: Goo, ain't it the truth!
Lol now I read some of these comments out loud and nearly killed my hubby who is trying to play Destiny. Lol wreckerators are killing us here plus the commenters hehe.
Pho you pick up your phon'ph birthday cake, open it up, and phurpriphe! It'ph phpelled wrong. Do you:
A) Phigh, phaunter back to the counter, and aphk for a new cake or at leapht a diphcount, or
B) Phay to yourphelf "Phweet! I can phubmit thiph to Cake Wreckph!"?
That does it. The people who go to work decorating cakes can only be the ones who flunked out.
Atorey @ law? Versus Apatriot @ law?
And how many more cup cakeph would it have taken to make a 6? 1? 2? *rollph eyeph*
The Pheven cake reminded me of a time when I was teaching Sunday school. A mom brought in twin boys, Mark and Steven. When I asked her if Steven was spelled with a V or a PH, she looked a little miffed and replied, "With an S!"
Had to comment, because the lasph one made me lauph out loud!!
I literally can't Pheven.
Top-right-most donut kind of says "poo"
