What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Politically Correct Leprechauns

In a groundbreaking move to unite the world under the banners of multiculturalism and type 2 diabetes, the bakers of America have released the following new designs for their St. Patrick's "Leprechaun Line." Enjoy.

"Cee Lo Green Sees Mo' Green"

"I see you driving 'round town with the gold I love, and I'm like, F*&@% YOU, I'M A *&%#'n LEPRECHAUN NOW GIVE IT BACK."

"The Rabbi Rabble Rousers"

"Kiss me, I'm wearing a yarmulke!"

"Luigi the Irish Plumber"

"Psst. Hey. I'll trade you some purple horseshoes for more spotted mushrooms. THEY'RE MAGICALLY DELICIOUS AND I WANT TO SEE MORE RAINBOWS."

Or, for a one-size-fits-all option, there's:

"Colin, the Tap-Dancing Cheeto"

[tappity-tap-tap-tap!]

Aaaand...

*JAZZ STUMPS!*

Hey, Juliet R., Dan B., & Emma D., ya feelin' lucky, punks? Well, are ya?

@ Craig -- Great idea, as long as we agree never to let him drive (Cat Wrecks?) and to keep him away from the curling ribbon. What do you think, Barbara Anne?

St Patrick was a gentleman
Who, through strategy and stealth,
Drove all the snakes from Ireland-
Here’s toasting to his health!
But not too many toastings
Lest we lose ourselves and then
Forget the good St Patrick
And see all those snakes again!

And how did St Patrick drive those snakes into the sea? He borrowed his father’s pickup truck. (ba dum bum) Ever notice how the first 3 letters of ba dum bum are “bad?”

I nominate "jazz stumps" for meme of the month.

@ Craig I second Theadare but will he be willing to don a ninja outfit? Also, who is gonna tell him he has to keep his shots up to date? The liability insurance is going to be a killer with him around. On the plus side, I foresee no issue with traffic jams if he rides shotgun.

Well at least they don't have Easter bunnies dressed as leprechauns..yet lol. That Luigi cake made me giggle though if that little red thing is supposed to be his mouth I feel sorry for him. Ahh dancing cheetos giving jazz stumps..man I just love you guys lol.

Now I really want to see a Leprechaun fanvid set to your patriotic Irish version of the song "F*&@% You." That is the only thing that could make that series more awesome.

They also put the two on backwards so it looks like a five. (bottom left of the pie, just below and to the left of the pi).

@Barbara Anne is on a roll (ba dun bun).

I don't think liability will be a problem -- Theardare only goes postal when he sees a bad cake. We just have to be sure he isn't first on scene.

@Emily, I see what you did there. Thought you'd avoid the EPCOT by putting the comment on the previous day's post, eh? Clever girl...

OMG! The tap-dancing Cheeto! As I was reading (but before I got to the dancing part) I was thinking to myself "It looks like it's dancing".Then I got to the tap dancing and burst out laughing. When I finally stopped, I read "Jazz stumps" and started all over again. I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be a day filled with the sudden remembrances of "jazz stumps".

@Barbara Anne - perhaps I can persuade Theadare to wear the ninja outfit. I am KarateLady, after all! ;-) (I'll tell him how cool he looks in it & I'll teach him some cool ninja moves (like the Wu-Shu finger hold) & he'll be ready to go...)

The rabbi cakes are clearly for passover. They're made of stacks of matzah covered in frosting. (Mmmm. Delicious.)
