Don't worry, though, I could never stay mad at that sweet wide-eyed face for long. And those rosy cheeks! The fondant candles are an ultra-cute touch, too. Why aren't there more fondant candles on cakes? Way neater than the real thing, in both senses of the word.
But let's talk about lying some more. For instance, if you say Fantasia is your favorite Disney movie of all time, you are probably lying. In fact, I just did a quick poll of my Facebook friends. Zero percent liked Fantasia the best. Granted, I got 17 total responses, but still.
Still, Fantasia in cake form? Freaking. Amazing.

So much detail here, plus some gravity-defying construction: How is the little bird hovering mid-flight off the side of the cake? And how on Earth is that mouse's head staying upright on that tiny neck?!

The cakes are wonderful. Incredible talent. But, seriously parents. Spending that kind of money on a cake for your toddler is ridiculous.

Not allergic to cake (as in sneezing), but allergic to every cake at every party I attend (soy allergy). Pretty much can't have cake unless I make it myself. Just wanted to complain for a minute, and point out that sneezing at cake isn't that bad...
That said, these are gorgeous, and I can still enjoy looking at them.
These are amazing. I swear you must be psychic or something. I'm taking my 7 and 9 year old daughters to Disneyland this week for the very first time. Waking up to these cake beauties was like a sign that our trip is going to be, well, magical. <3

After a Sunday of cakes at Cakewrecks that aren't, I no longer can think of myself as not a wrecker. (and I've done some nice cakes). Y'all make me ashamed to say I decorate cakes. Of course, I'm not professional, which these cake makers truly are!!

Fantasia IS my favorite Disney movie! Followed closely by Fantasia 2000....okay, it may have a little to do with the fact that I've played the piccolo part in the Sorcerer's Apprentice...which is only the third most awesome part (after the basoon part and the xylophone part, but way cooler than the trumpet or the horn parts)....

Ok these cakes are adorable... BUT fantasia is actually one of my favorite Disney movies (I have problems committing to just one) and I could not imagine getting my two year old that mickey cake. "ooh, mickey, my favorite! Mom, what are you doing with that knife?" The Peter Pan cake is spot on! They got the faces almost perfect! Love your blog! xoxo

The Minnie cupcakes are either Thin Mints or York patties.. either way, *WIN* :-)
And I think the thing I love the most about the tiered Mickey &Friends cake is the cute lavender bow for Daisy down on the bottom! She didn't get forgotten either!! YAY!
Couldn't agree with Roberta more. These cakes are beautiful but, at 2, 3, and 4 they would have loved some of the wrecks. I would love to have the money the parent's paid for them.
Sandyhu26, I was thinking the same thing! Disney's attorneys don't play around. The cakes are all really cute but I smell cease and desist orders in the air...
Pinocchio and Snow White aren't Disney. Disney just stole them. Nice cakes though. But really not fair to the original authors.
Mmmm, two of my favorite things: cake and Disney! I love all the cakes, but those sweet little Minnie Mouse cupcakes actually look like something I could make...and I have fresh boxes of Thin Mints in my kitchen right now!
Fantasia is my favorite Disney movie. Bach! Dancing mushrooms! An army of bucket-toting brooms! Tutu-wearing hippos!

In addition to how stunning these cakes are, I has a happy because of how many different countries these cakes come from.
Fantasia WAS my favorite, until I saw it enough times to get tired of it.
LOVE the Minnie Mouse Cupcakes and Cake! We have a children's party coming up at the end of the month and those would be the perfect addition!
No one has mentioned the variety of highly appropriate handwriting displayed on these cakes. I especially love the "Riley" and the "Ariana". Why can't decorators use such darling fonts all the time?
Disney has closed down day cares for having a Disney mural on the wall, mom and pop bakeries for doing a drawing and pinata makers. They strike at random just to keep fear in the air and do not mess around.
I love these cakes, especially Pinocchil! I've got dibs on Jimminy Cricket and the little Tigger and Eyeore.

The Sunday Sweets ALWAYS amaze me, but I love everything about that Pinocchio cake. It could sit on my table forever and ever, and happily ever after that. I'd probably change the name, of course...
@Roberta & Eeyore13, I do agree...but I'm still using my son's birthdays as opportunities to practice my own decorating techniques. Poky Little Puppy this year!
This is by far my favorite blog, and I am very into cakes and the decorating of said cakes, which is funny because I am allergic to cake! I have gluten allergies, so I love to just look at these cakes :) These are absolutely beautiful!
Actually, if you were careful, you could probably argue that Neuschwanstein Castle is in the public domain. So you make a cake of Neuschwanstein Castle, and if the bride happens to buy a Cinderella, Snow White or other copyrighted cake topper, music box, doll or whatever and sets it near the cake, then you have Disney figures in front of a German castle. I'd also have a couple of photos of the real castle on hand to show what I worked from, plus a few from Samur in France and maybe one of the blue and white Loire chateaux as well. And yes, as you might guess, I work with some things that can be close to copyrighted texts and images so I spend way too much time protecting myself.
I love Fantasia. It's just that my least favorite segment is "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." My favorite segments are "Night On Bald Mountain" in the original, and "Rhapsody In Blue" in Fantasia 2000.
I have to say I must have missed the day you polled, because Fantasia is defiantly one of my top fav Disney movies. There's just so much too it. My kids giggle at the string demonstration of music sounds. It was a naptime movie for a long time because I could turn the visuals off and leave the music. ^_^

Fantasia the cake WAY better than Fantasia the movie!!!!! Best use of topsy turvy tiers ever! Awesome splashing water effect too. My favorite of all the amazing Sunday Sweets this week. The woodland creatures on the Snow White cake almost won me over though. They look as sugary sweet as their ingredients. I agree with Sunshine Mary, how could anyone cut and eat these cakes? But then, of course, what would be the point of making them out of cake? Hope they taste as good as they look!
I have to say thoes cookies are some of the most amazing one I have EVER seen! I make a lot of cookie favors too and know others who are much more talented than me at it, but wow the detail and the way the artist used the flow-in royal to create 3d shading (the eye lids...holy s**t!) are totally amazing!!
I agree, Roberta. But at least all of these are for kids that will remember them (I think). There are loads and loads of beautiful cakes on Sunday Sweets...for one year olds. One. Year. Olds. Who will definitely not remember anything about that day.
Anyways....
Not ONE Donald Duck cake?! Beauty and the Beast?! Lion King?! Lilo and Stitch?! ...Do people even make cakes with those themes? -I- sure hope so, considering that there's a cake for "Epcot'. ;D

Disney is very protective of their characters. They don't give out permission to do these cakes and they don't mess around when they find out who's selling them.
I have to put in my two cents as well, because Fantasia has ALWAYS been my favorite Disney movie. It's actually my favorite movie, period. And I didn't just sleep to it, I was all about it as a kid (I still am-- every time I watch it, I notice new moments of brilliance). I'm with Annie, though-- Sorcerer's Apprentice was always one of my least favorite parts, and I'm still miffed that they put it in Fantasia 2000 instead of including an extra new piece.
Just thought I'd join the throng (small as it may be) of Fantasia supporters!
I have to admit, I was thinking along the lines of many of you here - "oh, these cakes are so beautiful, and so well done!" and "oh, the cease and desist letters are gonna be FLYING!"

Stunning cakes, but as others have said, this post might not have been a great idea. If Disney get hold of this, these bakers could be in a lot of trouble.

Cease and desist orders? The evidence has already been eaten.
The pictures? That one cake captures the essence of Phantasia -- an indie film that was nothing to do with that other movie. If you look really close, you'll see that Tygger and I-or live in the 101 Acre Wood. 'Winnie' is so named because he was modeled on Winston Churchill -- any resemblance to another bear of similar name is purely coincidental.
There are actually eight 'little people' on the last cake -- the eighth is on the back. That's Meg White up top, not Snow.
Or it could be that at least some of these bakers purchased licenses, because professionals tend to be on top of things like that -- that's why they get the big bucks (and why cakes like these come with financing options).
Amazing as always, however I have to wonder who puts that kind of money into a cake for a 3 year old? This is the stage where they'll happily eat playdoh if you'd let them. I bet it is the same people who give their kids ponies. They make it hard on the rest of us cheap parents. :)
Some Disney magic just when I needed some. I applied for the college program for what is my only and last chance and am anxiously waiting to hear the results of my phone interview. So glad to come here on one of my more anxious days and see a sprinkle of pixie dust.
These make me sad. My daughter just had her birthday party with a combined theme of: Tractors, Zebras, and Minnie Mouse (2 year old and her ideas...). The cake person was awesome and managed to combine the theme for my little Farmer Zo. Now I realize that the cake I thought was completely awesome is only somewhat awesome in comparison :(
