You've got some magical Disney cakes coming your way, that's what!

Don't worry, though, I could never stay mad at that sweet wide-eyed face for long. And those rosy cheeks! The fondant candles are an ultra-cute touch, too. Why aren't there more fondant candles on cakes? Way neater than the real thing, in both senses of the word.
But let's talk about lying some more. For instance, if you say Fantasia is your favorite Disney movie of all time, you are probably lying. In fact, I just did a quick poll of my Facebook friends. Zero percent liked Fantasia the best. Granted, I got 17 total responses, but still.
Still, Fantasia in cake form? Freaking. Amazing.

See kids, this is why you want to hire a professional. I can't even imagine the travesties that would occur if you called up your local wreckery and ordered a "Pooh cake." (Wait. Actually, yes I can. Thanks, Jen!)

So much detail here, plus some gravity-defying construction: How is the little bird hovering mid-flight off the side of the cake? And how on Earth is that mouse's head staying upright on that tiny neck?!

But Fantasia really is one of my favourite Disney movies...really and truly! And Mickey Mouse kind of makes me want to barf.

Fantasia is one of our favourite movies. It is SO hard to pick just one.
@sad & A Nerdy Teenage Girl - there are bakeries that will do special allergy-free cakes, and cake mixes are available that are soy and gluten free. Even here in Red Deer, Canada, we can purchase these at health food stores and even the large chain grocery stores.
You do have to look carefully at labels, which we are sure you do. We both have food allergies, but of course they are not the same allergies. Boy, one has to be creative.
Fantasia actually is my favorite Disney movie, with Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland also at the top of the list. I've never been a Mickey/Minnie fan at all, but those cakes are amazing. The Cinderella dress is the best!
Hey, I happen to love Fantasia! Granted, I'm more partial to Fantasia 2000. Particularly the "Rhapsody in Blue" scene in New York, since I love the song and the animation was great. Also, the sequence with the Flamingo with the yo-yo :P
These are amazing, its a shame you only allow professional cakes though. When I was a kid my mum made me an amazing cake of Cinderella's Pumpkin Carridge complete with figures of Cindy and the Fairy Godmother (and sugarmice as the candle holders).

I loved this post! I just watched Disney on Ice for the first time, so I was all the more excited to see this edition of Sunday Sweets! This is my favourite blog ever :)
Love these adorable cakes but hate that I can't legally make and sell them. People send me pictures like this and say.... "they can do it, why can't you?" :(
Add one more to the Fantasia fan club. That was my favorite Disney movie as a kid and I appreciate it for different reasons now that I'm an adult. And like the others, Sorcerer's Apprentice was my least favorite segment in the movie.
Just what I was thinking, LDarroch. If grown women can balk at slicing into a cake that happens to have roughly the same shape and color as a baby, God only knows how a toddler will react to the carving up of his or her favorite Disney character.
If I made anything half that beautiful and disney themed I think I would cry if someone decided to stick a knife in and eat it!
Let me throw my hat into the ring with all the other "Holy Cease and Desist Letters, Batman!" posts. (Can I say that on a post about Disney cakes?) :) If these really are professional cakes, then these cakers will not be appreciating having their cakes posted on a website.. though honestly, bakeries who blatently ignore copyright law and do Disney/other character cakes like this, often do so in either complete ignorance of the law (and will someday get a very frightening wake up call), or they know the law yet they continue to break the law by making Mickey out of total spite.
Either way, Disney lawyers DON'T mess around, and no, unless you are Buddy, they don't sell their licensing.
So these bakers are either a) making each of these cakes totally for free as a gift for a family member, or b) they are soon to be in deep piles of brown frosting.
Add me to the list of folk who count Fantasia as a favorite but don't particularly like "Sorcerer's Apprentice". A "Night on Bald Mountain" cake??? Oh, that would be the height of awesomeness!
Until someone can make one that does justice to Chernabog though, I'll take the Winnie the Pooh cake! So very adorable!!!!
These were amazing. My only complaint would be the first cake. My (fairly) large Mickey collection is of vintage Mickey - you know, solid black or "pie" eyes. Much better than the "modern" eyes.
These are all beautiful cakes, but I have to say, my jaw ACTUALLY dropped when I saw the Pinnochio cake. Absolutely beautiful, totally breathtaking, and spot-on! Beautifully rendered fondant candles FTW!
As I have a major soft spot in my heart (and always room in my tummy) for Thin Mints, the thought of the Minnie cupcakes including Thin Mints made me squee a bit - chocolate cupakes with Thin Mints are doubly yummy!
I'll stay out of the legal fracus, there are plenty joined in already. However, should I begin to gather supplies and make my way to the Epcot bunker ;) ?...
You know Jen didn't write the post when there's no mention of the fact that Mack's birthday cake is sitting on a giant gear.
1. Beautiful. 2. Who orders these kind of cakes? 3. How much would one cost? 4. Who could eat a cake that expensive??? Are they even tasty???
Just to let you know, Fantasia has always been my favorite followed closely by Robin Hood. I use to dance around like the hippos and pretend to conduct like Mickey. And no, I am not lying!
Whoa, wait just a minute. All those cakes are stunning BUT are you going to give the Mickey on the Fantasmic cake a pass...it looks like a gorilla in a Mickey costume.
Wow, I am getting hungry, I have been sifting through your cakes for several hours now. lol Even the really wrecked up ones are starting to look appealing, however. I do have to say though, this is probably the best one I have looked at so far. Those cakes look like they should be put on a glass shelf somewhere rather than eaten. Seriously though, all I have ever been able to afford is ............'s cakes and their themes do not even compare to this.
These are awesome! Almost (almost) too cute to eat. I think my favorite is the Cinderella one.
& I fell asleep every time I tried to watch Fantasia...Fantasmic! at Disneyland is really cool though & it's kind of based on the movie.
I sure wish I was at Hack's party.
