Kids These Days

Education can never start too early. Which is why I, for one, am happy to see all the things kids are learning from their birthday cakes. You know, things like....
...friendly hand gestures:
And where Spider-Man's web comes from:
Watch it go!
Then there are the helpful anatomy lessons:
I think it's safe to say that Bailey really, REALLY enjoyed his Bar Mitzvah party.
Not to mention the legal drinking age:
Hint: that's not it.
And perhaps the best life lesson of all: one of the hazards of mixing boobs with beer:
Hey, it could be worse. You could be on 16 And Pregnant and be rewarded for your questionable life choices with money and fame.
There. Don't you feel better now?
Thanks to Sarah G., Anony M., Tanya G., M.M., and Jenae B. for the education.

I couldn't help but giggle every time I scrolled down to view another cake.
Do people order these cakes like that or are they mistakes?
Ahh I always knew Barney secretly hated kids lol. And that last cake..scares me just to think of that show 16 and Pregnant. Scarier still I used to watch that thinking maybe they learned what not to do..lol obviously not. Wreckerators you keep on making me laugh :)
Funny, but disturbing. Utterly disturbing,
Ann,
I'm sorry, but it is really my pet peeve when people assume that female Ariels were named after the princess. This name was not created by Disney. Ariel is originally a Biblical name, both of the man sent by Ezra to gather descendents of Levi for the restored temple, and as a symbolic name for Jerusalem (the city is often referred to as "she" in the Bible.) It was also used by Shakespeare in "The Tempest." This character is a spirit, usually played by a man but sometimes played by a woman. The name has been used for boys AND girls since long before the Disney movie. My friend and his wife chose it because of its Biblical origination, and they get very frustrated when people say, "oh, like Disney!" because neither of them, as they are anti-Disney, has ever seen the movie.
All I can say is, "OMGOODNESS!"
To be fair to the 4th cake, there are plenty of countries where 16 is the legal drinking age, is it certain this cake is not from one of those countries?
O! hilarious!
My son would have loved that Barney cake... sigh, too old now.
I love you
You love me
Lets get together and shoot BArneeeee
With a loaded .44
Lets blow 'in through the door
Thats how to kill that purple dinosoaaaaar.
Barney is responsible for my kid being in enforcement.
You know, if I was 5 years old I would think that Spider-man cake is pretty awesome. Besides the fact he's peeing a web, I think it looks quite good. There's no plastic toys on it, Spider-man does look like Spider-man (he's just a little big if you compare him to the size of the widows), and it looks pretty tidy and well put together.
haha pic. #2+pic. #3 = pic number FOUR!!!
p.s. for all you slow people... boobies plus beer= pregnant at 17
hahaha, kids are so funny these days ! 16 years old and allready a beer influence??
I have been laughing my butt off for the last half hour reading these! Your blog rocks!
@Anne, Ariel is the name of a spirit in Shakespeare's "The Tempest." The original fairy tale doesn't give the little mermaid a name. Disney took that liberty. I'm going to hope that the parents named her for a literary character and not a Disney princess.
I choose to believe that these are cakes for "children" born on February 29th. That's the ONLY REASON I can come up with for putting a beer advertisement on a cake for a 16 year old!
Well, at least they're well done... tasteful is another issue entirely, I love when a CakeWreck leaves me speechless!
