The World's Most Unfortunate Wedding Monogram

This isn't it.
Thanks to Ruth H. for the initial discomfort.
Note from john: For those you you who may not know, usually "DOA" stands for "Dead On Arrival." Less common meanings are "Dead Or Alive", "Date Of Arrest" and the ever-popular, "Darkener Of Apricot."

Could also stand for "Droopy Old A$$"
I know a girl whose initials went from ALN (the name of a river) to ALE on her marriage - water to beer in one ceremony's a good trick!
If we used American style monograms (and I've had to read the comments here to understand how they work) then the happy couple would have been PEA
LOL!..I see it as 'Dead on arrival'..Not good for a wedding cake!..LOL!
Bah, Darkener of Apricot! I thought it was Destroyer of Agriculture.
SillyBilly-
Who goes around with a memory full of acronyms? Military members and their families. This one isn't even mil-specific.
I've been to more than a couple of weddings where I think a DOA cake would have been entirely appropriate. And at least once, if the groom had been shirtless, and the bride had been wearing a red miniskirt with a bra top, it would have been the most honest wedding I had ever attended.
RIP, wv. :(
I think we all should to make a cake specifically FOR CakeWrecks.. Who can do their "wurst" and get 15 min of fame? I'm making my daughter's 22nd b-day cake next month.. and it def could be a candidate for I will be decorating out of my comfort zone!
This could be fun. Monogrammed pj's, robes, towels, license plates....
My step-son had stuff monogrammed at his wedding. Their combined initials were nRa. Yeah, it was on napkins, decorations, I think the cake.
How does no one notice these things?!
I thought "what's darkener of apricots" and so I Binged it. It's a real phrase! Color me amazed. I also found a site that says there's 52 definitions for the acronym DOA. :D Who knew? See, you are educational as well as entertaining- like Electric Company!! (anyone else remember that show? no? no? dang.)

Oh yeah? My wife has a crystal wine glass from her first marriage etched with her initials...PMS, I am as serious as a heart attack!
Darkener of Apricots! hahaha! I didn't even think about what my monogram is until I saw DOA. Mine is either LSD or DSL. DSL is appropriate since my husband is a web developer, but LSD is funnier! Maybe for our 10yr anniversary we should get a tie-dye cake with our LSD monogram!
After my mother married my father, DOA became her initials as well. And she's a nurse. So she would log DOA into the computers when she was at work. >.<
This totally made my day!! What a hilarious mistake! (Unless, of course, you're the person who paid for this thing.....)
Yikes!! I thought me & my husband's BS was bad. I avoided the monogram on my special day
Our initials are S&M....or SNM if you use our last name in the middle. Not as obvious, but still probably not wedding appropriate.
@Steven the pocket, lol! Nice wan wit d friends theme,as if it cldn get any worse 4d "happy" couple
I showed this to my husband and his response was, Divorce Or Annulment. To funny!
