A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.
Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

I've lived in Florida for a long time and see lizards damn near constantly. They are everywhere and get into everything. I swear, every morning when I get to work and unlock the back door, a lizard or two run inside. My dogs and cats love to hunt them. It honestly does not surprise me that one found its way onto a cake/inside of a cake lid.
There is nothing wrong with lizards unless they are dead or trying to eat you. I think reptiles are interesting and people don't like them because they look weird.They are really cool. I actully own a leopard gecko. But a dead lizard on a cake? What in the world are these bakers thinking?
That looks more like a Anole then a gecko. I would know, one came home with my grandparents unknown to them just to climb up my sleeve. My son named him Blue and we had him over a year...I wonder if that cake is cricket flavored?
Looking at the label, the baker could have a libel case on their hands for not listing all the ingredients....
Well, do you see "Lizard" on there?!!
@SaraCVYT -- so a cake with a dead lizard is ewww, but with a living lizard is OK? Hmmm... interesting.
@kayk:
Well, yes, because you can hug a live lizard and squish him and name him George, but a dead lizard is just a not edible or attractive garnish.
Meanwhile, back at the lab:
While frosting his wife's birthday cake, Dr. Katastrophic idly wonders what happened to the grasshopper he injected with reptilian DNA.
