What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Congratulations Jen! Nice article and excellent advice. Here's hoping you've saved at least a couple brides from a Wrecked reception.

Very informative! I love that my fave cake wreck was mentioned and shown - the bride replica! That one cracks me up each and every time I see it!

We've spent a LOT of time over here laughing! :) Oh, and we gave you a shout-out on our blog--www.ourbestbites.com. Thanks for the funniness!

Oh Congrats! Wedding cake wrecks tend to be some of my favorites (and make me cringe the most when I think of my wedding and how lucky we were that there was only a hand print in our cake... long story)!

Conragtu- Congradjoo-- Aww, hell: Good job, you! ;) Your explanation for why there are so few wedding cake wrecks makes perfect sense. Is it evil, though, to wish there were more?

Very nice. All stuff we already know about you, though... ;) It should be good for getting some new readers to your blog. Assuming, of course, there is anyone out there who doesn't already read it!

One question -- why is there no mention on there about CCC's? I did see some CCC's on their site, but for some strange reason they didn't ask you what you thought of them. Hmmm...
