Evolution of the Anniversary Cake
August 28, 2014 Tomorrow is John's and my wedding anniversary, so I've been thinking: Remember how the first few years you always celebrate at some fancy-schmancy restaurant?

("Lhappy Ammversary" is totally how I'm saying it from now on.)
And you not only remember the day - you even remember how many days it's been.

After a while you dial down the festivities, though, and maybe just bring home some take-out and a cake:

Past the ten year mark you both might start to get a little fuzzy on when and what exactly you're celebrating:

But hey, at least it's happy.

John and I are still a long way off, but I hear making it to your 50th anniversary is a real education:

just an FYI...while it looks horrible..the happy anniversary & birthday cake seems odd...it could very well be true. My SO and I met on my birthday and our first date was on his 6 days later. To keep it easy for him, we consider our anniversary as our birthdays....we had a friend make us a really cool cake (gotta find the pics) that said happy birthdays and anniversary
What really gets me laughing is thinking about all the family albums in which these wrecks are going to be.
