What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

The Christmas Creep

Well helloooo, people still finishing your Halloween candy.

READY FOR CHRISTMAS?

::aggressively shakes jingle bells::

Yes, yes, I hear you. "It's too early!" "What about Thanksgiving?"

Blah. Blah. BLAH.

Look at this tree:

Doesn't it fill you with CHEER?

(Ignore the balls.)

(Or don't, if they're helping.)

And wouldn't you rather look at pretty presents right now?

(Pretend these are pretty.)

Or how about the smell of freshly baked gingerbread?

"Heyyyyyy maaaaaaaan."

My point is, move over, Fall; Christmas is on a roll!

A cinnamon roll.

::jazz hands::

So just get ready for 7 weeks of Mannheim Steamroller instrumentals, cinnamon air freshener, garland everywhere, twinkle lights, and creepy Christmas cakes.

Yessssss.

I CAN'T WAIT.

Thanks to Toni S., Elizabeth B., Jacquelyn B., Matthew O., Anony M., Bonnie B., Caroline, Rachel, & Abby for reminding us it's the most wonderful time of the year.

1) I guess by the expression on his face that Santa found out more kids were bad this year than good.
2) Whoa! Looks like the bakers found a way to extend poo-wangs beyond Thanksgiving.
3) These were gifts from the Wicked Witch of the West - they're melting!
4) Don't worry about the Abominable Gingerbread Man there - he's armless.
5) Candy cane or giant Christmas Sea Slug?
6) All that flotsam says one thing - lazy baker. Santa, put coal in his stocking.
7) Why is Mrs. Claus so happy? Maybe she over imbibed on the egg nog.

As long as those pretty presents are entirely made of icing (they sure look like it) I'd rather eat 'em than look at 'em! 8-d

Santa’s one and only dance move. Embarrasses the elves every year at the Day-After-Christmas shindig, but what you gonna do when the boss tries to be ‘cool’?

Oh, the Hallmark movies! My man with the remote toggles back and forth between football and sappy Christmas movies. I kind of like the last cake, though.

Well time to listen to Christmas music and put up the decorations before Thanksgiving again lol. Or just buy one of these and go hibernate til it's over. I haven't decided which yet lol.

When you said "aggressively shakes jingle bells' on that first one, I immediately flashed on Akroyd as the homeless wino Santa with the smoked salmon down his coat in Trading Places...... could NOT STOP Laughing...
