Sunday Sweets Flutters On By
I'm not going to make a single Butterfly Kisses reference today, cake fans. That's my gift to you.
Well, in addition to all this rainbow butterfly goodness:

Mmm, rainbow goodness. I love they they're all different sizes and styles.

Look how the gold scroll-work bridges the tiers! So cool.
I'm completely smitten with this flying frames design:

COMPLETELY. Such a fun idea!
And this one has a gothic elegance to it:

Those little red hearts add just the right touch.
Some of my favorite colors happening here:
I like how the branches form a frame. So sweet!
Ooh, now here's some advanced cakey architecture:

Flower topiary! It *does* have butterflies, but I'll admit I'm mostly loving those white poppies - which probably aren't even poppies, because I'm bad with flower names. Still. SO PRETTY.
Allow me to make up for the less-than-overwhelming number of butterflies on that last one with this:
(By Tortentante)
Butterfly overload! And they're making a heart! Ah!
K, one last rainbow pretty for you:
(By McGreevy Cakes)
They're even flying right off the cake! And look - the rainbow rain has dripped on to the cake stand.
So cute.
Happy Sunday, everyone!

Thanks for saving the best for last! Happy Sunday!
Gorgeous cakes, as always! I just have a couple things to add. The mystery white flowers look like anemones to me. And the last cake, the color tree, has a sweet and sad story. I remember reading about it in 2014. Here's the link: http://mcgreevycakes.com/touched-by-color-is-it-worth-it/
The flowers look more like anemone.
Such pretty cheeriness
I'm so used to being a FoE that I keep wanting to "Like" or "Heart" the pictures as I scroll! Loved these - thanks.
I was charmed with the pink butterfly heart, and wish I could read writing on the black and white one, but the one that really got me was the second one. I put my finger on the screen an wiggled the image up and down, and the black and white stripes actually seemed to flicker!
It must be a tablet thing.(?) =^~.~^=
The first and last cakes are my favorites. But they're all beautiful.
Oh my gosh, I love that second one, the vintage-y one. So pretty!
Such a lovely story about the Color Tree!
Marebabe, thanks for sharing that story about the last cake (sniff!).
The pink butterflies from the heart cake are EDIBLE PAPER! They're available from Amazon and decorating supply shops. They've stamped a crease in the middle so you can fold them.
Which means that that oh-so-elegantlly simple and lovely cake is pretty easy to make, too.
Oh, Jen, these are just lovely!
Ooo - so pretty!
So beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing. I absolutely love the last one.
