This Nicolas Cage Cookie Is A National Treasure

So a bakery made an... interesting... choice for their latest online ad.
[head tilt]
Huh.
That's Nic Cage?
Right.
John?
You know what to do.
And my personal favorite:
John: "You know Ghost Rider doesn't have his face, right? So this makes no sense?"
Me:
Thanks to Barbara B., who bets that cookie was gone in 60 seconds.

Anybody but me think it looks a little like Don Knotts?
If E.T. and Nicholas Cage had a baby......I could totally see this.
If there are any other old movie fans out there, they instantly realized that this isn't Nicholas Cage. It's Sam Jaffe who appeared as the brilliant professor in "The Day The Earth Stood Still."
Duh.
Gone in 60 seconds...into the trash!
Kind of impressionistic but I can see it, not the worst that's been on this site.
I think it favors Vincent Van Gogh, a little, actually! Ha!
Catmania is not alone! My first thought was it was Don Knotts! Nicolas Cage? As he is hovering near the top of my least favorite actors, the cake is an improvement over real life!
A quote from one of his own movies says it best, "I don't like his face."
Not appetizing
Worm on chin? Discolored skin-
Nic would NOT approve.
But _I_ approve John's many humorous substitutes on the movie posters, very nice.
aside from the obvious facial-recognition issues... is anyone else having a hard time believing that is a cookie?
Nicolas Cage or not, that is a pretty good cake. Portraits are hard to draw with paint, even more challenging with icing. And when you are using paint or pencil or charcoal or whatever, you can use your finger to blend colors. We can't touch the icing excessively or use a licked finger to smooth something out. Grocery store decorators are pressured to work quickly and a portrait cake should take time but usually has to be rushed. I am not the decorator who did this cake, but I am a decorator in a Whole Foods store. And I do love Cakewrecks!
I don't know if I like it, but I'm totally impressed with the effort! This Wreckorator should switch from cookies/cakes to portrait classes. S/he might find their true career path!
JMHO :-)
After the very first one, I just flicked through with one finger, muttering, "Nope...nope...nope...nope..aaaand NOPE!"
=^>.<^=
I'm not sure who/what it is, but it isn't Nicolas Cage, Sam Jaffe, or Don Knotts.
What party calls for that?!!?!?!?!? :O
If it's icing it's good!
Not the bees, not the bees! Anyway, I think it does show a resemblance to Nick cage.
I'm not good at recognizing celebrity faces unless it's Jackie Chan or Robin Williams so that cookie might as well look like Nicolas Cage to me......
Put that Nic Cage face on his Con Air character, with the long hair
One of the funniest posts yet! I love me some Nic Cage! As a cookier...I'm now inclined to go make a cookie that actually LOOKS like him and post. LOL :)
I can kind of see it. In an Impressionistic, abstract sort of way. And if Nick Cage was 101 years old.
Anyone else now recovering from being retraumatized by the mere mention of The Wicker Man?
That, friends, is the love child of Barack O. and Walter Cronkite.
Am I the only one who looked at this and went, "If a tree gave birth to Bruce Willis…"
Looks more like Shelley Berman to me.

Instead of oil on canvas, how about a lovely fondant on shortbread? Mmmm..chocolate!
I don't know Nicholas Cage from a hole in the ground, but that cookie has some problems. It's (his) left ear looks like it's upside down and quite possibly had started life as a right ear to another cookie.
I'll be darned. Just Googled: He does have blue eyes. But if the rendition looks like everyone from Don Knotts to Barack O, then Cage must be everyman.
I am dying of hysterical laughter here lol. Boy when you hit my funny bone you really hit it lol.
I took one look and said to myself, "Holly . . . is that you?"
Looks exactly like Norman Lovett, who played Holly in Red Dwarf. Judge for yourself:

Actually, from the eyebrows down, it isn't a bad representation (it's icing, after all!). What detracts are the too-wide head and too-high hairline. But I definitely see Nic.
I needed a light hearted laugh tonight - and you have provided it. Thank you.
I don't know... I feel like he's serving me some Little Man From Another Place (the Red Room From "Twin Peaks") Realness.
He's got good news though: That gum you like is going to come back in style.
Cheers!
Storm
I not sure what this says about me but I new it was him as soon as I saw the thumbnail.
I actually know the bakery that this is from (it's about .5 miles away from my apartmnet) and they normally do really nice work. That said, I considered submitting this myself when I saw it on their Facebook page...
Well, my first thought was Walter Cronkite...
Don Knotts! He rocks!
So I’m actually the receipient of this cookie. My friend ordered it for me as an April Fools Day prank gift.
