So sweet! Combined with the dripping floral vines it has a surprisingly light, spring-time feel to it.
You don't see many intricate string work cakes in the U.S. anymore; it's just too fragile and time-consuming, and if you live anywhere with humidity? Fuggitaboutit.

Love cake #3 and the stringwork cakes!
It had to be a red telephone box -- London telephone boxes are red. Doctor Who's Tardis is a blue police box, not the same thing. Possibly the Rolls-Royce (well enough drawn to be recognisable as a Silver Cloud I) and the equally iconic Routemaster double-decker bus should have been swapped and the bus coloured red, but that's a quibble and maybe symmetry is overrated.
These are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! But as I look at them I get that yucky taste of black (waaaay too much food coloring) in my mouth. Really pretty , but I don't want to eat them.
Beautiful! And I have no idea what these cakes would taste like but I had to go find some licorice to eat!
These are all lovely, but chalkboard cakes!!!!!!! I'm sure my husband is thankful those weren't a thing when we got married in the dark ages (aka the 80's, time of the "fountain" cake, which I begged for but my hubby nixed and now I'm eternally grateful for his common sense).

These cakes are purely gorgeous. I don't actually like cake. I know, I know, heresy here at CW. But I never fail to look at the Sunday Sweets; they simply inspire me to try new cakes for various gatherings. And, through CW, I found the MOST AMAZING Baker here in Phoenix, AZ!
My Army roommate was on the Army's Culinary Olympic tran, and she did amazing string work for their competitions.
