What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Pet Appreciation Week

This week we take the time to appreciate our adorable furry companions:

O.o

And also the terrifying ones.

Where was I?

Oh yeah.

Whether they be "dogs"

"cats"

"honey badgers"

...or whatever this is:

I think we can all agree that iupiu38ru3p9jfn3cjjsa'''''''aa'sdij'fln

Happy Pet Appreciation Week, everybody!

Thanks to Martina V., Chelsea M., Keesha V., Elizabeth S. and Katie C. for the excuse to make Lily's stick figure debut.

I'm guessing the last cake is a frog.
But it's not a bull frog, it's a ball frog!
It's a pun!

Kay: I heard that the cat had a plain name for public consumption, Cobby, but that in private Hardy called it by this unbearable nickname. But, so many years later, who knows?

I'm sure there is some type of antibiotic which will take care of the cake/microbe/thing in the last picture! Plus it is nice to see a replica of the elusive pink aardvark or maybe it is Alf's girlfriend? (anyone remember Alf?)

Does anyone else see a pink long haired ALF in that second cake?

That one looks like a Labrador Retreiver crossed with a Gorilla!

It's been a while since I've had a big cackle moment...thanks for this one! I love the comics interspersed with the "specimens".
