The dreamers cake is abstract perfection.
As a child of the 70s, let me just say how cool it is to see those incredibly 70s rainbow star-trails on cake #7! (Not to mention the instant tearing-up just from reading the lyrics of that song…and then ending on Kermit!)

Hm... didn't like these Sweets that much. Some of them didn't look to yummy (as in comparison to most other sunday sweets). E.g. #3 has "melting" fondant.
Love the movie, the rainbows and Kermie! Still gets me misty and reminds me of my childhood.

I think that this is my all-time favorite Sunday sweets post! I agree with Molly's "I want sprinkles!" comment.
Looking at the pegacorn brought tears to my eyes and then to my cheeks when I realized that there was a baby too! Very rarely I'll follow a link to the bakers' sites, but I did on that one. She has all sorts of cakey awesomeness! There are several angles of the pegacorn cake (gorgeous!) plus an updated cake in which Momma is teaching Baby to fly -- a feat of beauty and engineering. And..wait for it..she does steampunk cakes too.
I loved the all-frosting tiers with the lattice and the cascading roses and followed that link too.
Totally cried! #LOVEWINS!!!

Perfect. Just perfect.
Last summer I was with my friend and her fiancée as they picked out the music they wanted my group to play at their wedding. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was nominated, and then "Rainbow Connection", at which point one of the girls started to sing. She got as far as "Why are there so many songs about rainbows?" before the other cut her off with "Because it's a gay wedding. Duh." So this post brought back those happy memories too. Yay for more weddings!

I read through this with my children, and we sang each line out loud. I got all emotional when we scrolled down to the last picture and saw Kermit. My daughter turned to me and said "Mum, that's your happy crying face!" :')
