What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Think They're Organic? [smirk]

Ok, class, time for your anatomy lesson - Cake Wrecks style.

This is your brain:
This is your brain slurping spaghetti and trimmed with white icing:

(Ok, maybe not. I'm told it's supposed to be a kidney.)

I'm not sure this next one is professional, but I didn't have the heart to cut it:

"Call me ugly, will you? Why, aorta..."

And this last one is reeeallly gross, so don't scroll down unless you have a LOT of intestinal fortitude.

I mean it, now, this sucker is GROSS.

What, you still wanna see it? Ok, but don't say I didn't warn you!

[averting eyes] I would say something clever here, but I have to go vomit now. Won't you excuse me?

Maren A., Louise F., & Monique R., my diet plan thanks you.

The heart even had dark, necrosed tissue to resemble a heart attack. Nice. O_O

I think these cakes look quite awesome.. the heart cake is just amazing!! it would be a funny/ exciting cake for a group of health care workers on a cardiac floor..

Not only is it a heart, it is a diseased one. That there is one nasty apical infarct. Yeah, that black bit down by the pointy end sure looks like the scar tissue left by a heart attack. . . So, again, WHYYYYYYYYYY! What message is the person who ordered that sucker trying to send?

I guess working in health care has warped me. I don't get how a *representation* of something could cause nausea-it's still flour, sugar eggs and butter, people.
Of course, the real thing doesn't nauseate me, so maybe I'm just twisted. But I bet I could take one of these to work and it would get devoured.

Is it bad that none of these gross me out? At all? (Yes, I know I said that hopefully I wouldn't post any more comments, but I just couldn't resist .... I think I have problems...)
