What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

8 Insult Cakes That Backfired

They tried to be mean.

They failed.

This was supposed to say, "You're a traitor!"

"Drunken Loser"

"You Old Buzzard"

This one's almost accurate, if you think about it:

Like, "You get older, THEN dirt."

Aw, thanks!

What's a riddens?

And who's Noboby?

Here's a hint: That's not supposed to say, "shix."

Ooooh, "burn."

I prefer using people when they're alive, though.
Less messy.

Thanks to Anony M., Warren E., Donna Z., Mandi O., Mark S., Jenny C., Anony M., & Robin K., who now know the BEST insult is to congratulate someone on their crapping dog.

Wow. Just wow. What the heck is a “durken”, or a “buzzrad”, or a “shix murph”? And who is “Noboby”? So many cakes, so many mysteries. I guess we should take comfort in the fact that the last decorator spelled “you’re” correctly. I laughed so hard my cat got annoyed and jumped off my lap.

I can't figure out what "shix murph" is supposed to mean. Is it supposed to say "shit smurf"? It's not quite implausible enough that I can get myself to let it go.

Ha HA! I didn't notice Buzzard was misspelled. I cringed at the "U" for you lol

Uh, is it normal for one's eye to continually twitch?

Just love how "Noboby" love you.... Someboby loved them enough to give them a cake.... I mean, who spends money on someboby you don't love? Lol

April 9, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterKrikit

@Borg: Either that or "shit, Murphy."

I just want to know "why" on most of these...what's the story? And then what did they do when the cake was wrong?
So many questions!!

'Murph' is a common abbreviation of the name Murphy. I think he's a stick.

The 'Good Riddens' cookie cake is so beautifully done!

The riddens is the tail end of a highstorm, obviously.

I get the message, but why would one use a gouache tube to write that "your older then dirt" on that cake ?

April 12, 2019 | Unregistered CommenterLeina

I don't about that first cake. Maybe they're celebrating the fact that he just got a job with the NYSE. There's still that misspelling of "you're" hanging there though.

April 12, 2019 | Unregistered Commenterdutchgirl

That first cake must be for someone named Joe who owns a chain of grocery stores.
