What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Err Supply

I know just how to ice it

And I know just how to sell

I know just how to read instructions

And I know just how too spell!

I know how to make a moose head

And I know how to make a bear

I know just how to write "Amurersary"

And I know what to do with hair!

And I know just how to stack cake...

And I know when I've gone too far!

AND I'M PROBABLY GONNA CHARGE YOU EVEN THOUGH IT TOPPLED OVER 'CAUSE I REALLY HAVE TO PAY FOR MY CAR!

But I don't think you should judge me

Just because it's hard to read my scra-ah-awl...

'Cuz you know I'll always be here

Making caa-aake

Look like nothing at all

{Making cake!}

Look like nothing at all

{Making ca-ay-ake!}

Look like nothing at all

Ahhh-awwww-AH!

 Ahhhh-awwww-AH!

 AHHHHHH!!

 AHHHHHH!!!

THIS LOOKS LIKE NOTHING AT ALL!

That “bear” looks rather like a Tardigrade, aka “water bear.” Maybe the baker was a part time biology student?

That "moose" looks more like a flying wang-bat.

And now I have Air Supply stuck in my head, thankyouverymuch.

Firstly, congrats! That was a great parody.
Second, what were these bakers thinking? Or maybe I should word it like this - What? Were these bakers thinking? (I think we already know the answer to that).
1) What is this? It looks like waves on top with fire down below. Maybe it's a representation of one of those deep undersea volcanic vents. Or maybe the baker is giving us an object lesson in cake. You know, water overcomes fire as good overcomes evil. Yeah, maybe I'm stretching it, but so was this baker.
2) Why does this remind me of all the poop and butt jokes we used to tell as kids? All I know is, I don't want whatever they're selling!
3) Just reinforces my first questions above.
4) So is that word supposed to be "shift" or "sheriff"? Or is the baker combining them into a brand new word?
5) Great Bullwinkle's ghost!!
6) I can't bear to look at this one. It's not just horrible, it's grizzly! This is definitely not a Kodiak moment. This is the polar opposite of what a bear should look like.
7) This one is just wigging me out.
8) How drunk was the baker who made this one?
9) You've heard of crash and burn? This looks like it crashed, and then should have been burned.
10) This reminds me of my trip yesterday to the optometrist's office. "Now which one is clearer?"
11) A fanged beast with two mouths?
12) Little flowers escaping their egg prison?
13) Magnetic magma? A scorched Liberty Bell? A saddle sore, sunburned cowboy with hemorrhoids?
14) A volcano in a valley? An exhibitionist who decided to do it up fancy? I GIVE UP!!!!!!

Holy @#$## -- is the one second from the bottom supposed to be a Jayne Cobb hat? (I feel a bit like my worlds are colliding :) )

March 13, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterAE

Okay , wild guess from me but maybe the ' bear ' was supposed to be this particular Pokemon and something went horribly wrong ?

https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Snorlax_(Pok%C3%A9mon)

( Or perhaps they're relatives , Idk 8/ )

Is...is.. the second from the bottom supposed to be a Jayne hat?!?!

That isn't a moose. That is angelic penis.

There is a Supernatural comment in here somewhere.

The last one looks like the S and the A slunk away in shame...

March 13, 2018 | Unregistered Commentermindy1

I was also going to ask if that's supposed to be a Jayne hat. O_o

I sang this to my husband in a Whataburger. And didn’t get kicked out.

This is a little frightening…I have a stuffed animal that looks like that bear…(or at least I did in the first grade)

Awww, that "Sweet Birthday Bash" lopsided cake is pretty cute.

Lol these make me laugh and laugh til I cry. I would love to know what they were drinking in these bakeries to have these cakes come out this way.

The second from last cake is Jayne's hat from "Firefly".

March 14, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterJoe

Those last four cakes...
1. Giant Space Worm with some nasty multicoloured Space-Plaque on its teeth.
2. Polar Bear Paws catching flowers in the spring. Aawwww!
3. Rocket, just before it bursts into flames and burns up in the stratosphere. Oops.
4. Birds'-Eye View of a patriotic clown conducting the symphony orchestra.

So, Doctor, what's my prognosis?

I love the Air Supply riff, I knew where you were headed at the first line.

March 14, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterKristina M.

I could hear the air supply from line one and got so excited I sang the caps section out loud. This was even before I noticed the title of the post.
