What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Peppa Porker

Meet Peppa Pig:

She's the star of a kid's show in Britain, and looks like a toddler's drawing of a pink hairdryer with ears - or an anatomically incorrect gallbladder.

Anyway, people send me pictures of Peppa cakes all the time, mostly because they can't believe this is how she's actually supposed to look:

Well, minus the melty black eyes, I mean.

And the melty, blood-red dress...

Yeeeah.

Anyway, with all these cakes coming in, imagine my delight when someone finally sent me a Peppa wreck that is actually wrecky in a non-melty way.

Not only that, you could say this wreck's a real porker:

Yessir, if you're craving sausage, then these cookies will hit the spot, IF you know what I mean. [wink wink]

See, I'm saying these cookies put the "oinks" in "boinks." [nudge nudge]

I'm saying these cookies take their ham with a side of jelly. [eyebrow waggle]

I'm saying this little piggy went to market, and totally looks like a floppy man-dong.

Oops.

Uh... too much?

Thanks to Belinda B., Jessica H., Jo D., & J-La for the sooieeee(t) finds.

I enjoyed reading all the "selling points" emblazoned on the packaging; hand decorated, no less. YUCK!

Kudos on the baker for finding another use for THAT cookie cutter!

"Sooieeee(t) finds." Ha, great pun!

I totally get why the Peppa Pig cakes are crying their mascara off. These are horrid!

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterKelley

My parents are terrified of Peppa, and we're not even remotely British.

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterMeghan

It's the texture of the cookies that I find most disturbing. And can anyone explain why Peppa's snout is so far away from her nose? What am I doing, this is a CARTOON character, sorry.

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterD'Marie

Why is the demonic pig with the melting charcoal eyes showing her undies in the first three cakes?

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterZeenia

Welp....... I just totally spit coffee on my monitor......

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterKelly

I dunno, they look more like an internal organ to me. ::shrug::

Her nose is on backwards! (Y'know, that's not the sort of sentence you want people to overhear, is it?)

I keep saying that the pig characters on that show are a cleft chin away from being x rated. Google images of daddy pig (with his chin stubble). I dare you.

I once went to a fair here in England that was opened by [some poor soul dressed up as] Peppa Pig. One of its other main attractions was a hog roast. It remains to me the best definition of "passive aggression" I have ever come across.

*eyebrow waggle* made me snort. LOL

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterKimS

If you can ignore the incredibly ugly drawings, Peppa and her family are rather pleasant to be around. I was surprised when I just listened to the show.

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterDorothy

Oh sweet Jesus, those are horrid. I cannot show this to my Peppa-loving fanatic!

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterKimberlyR

How do you know what an anatomically correct gallbladder looks like?

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterSharon

I'm asked to make a lot of Pappa Pig Cakes in UK.usually model them...they are really awkward...can easily end up looking like a horse if you don't get the cheeks right!

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterJenny

I'l take Peppa over Caillou any day!

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterLuLu

The shape might also evoke a whistle.

"Well done pig"

You may punctuate this quote from "Babe" in any manner you feel appropriate.

1. Wait, you guys don't have Peppa Pig?? It's one of the less-annoying kids' shows on free-to-air TV here in Australia (including some of parental bonus jokes by Daddy Pig).

2. Zeenia - undies? It's hard to see past the melting dresses but that's the frame of the bike she's riding.

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterAnneW

Oh.

*sinks into silent gigglefit in the corner*

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterKai Lowell

@Zeenia Peppa is riding a bike on these cakes. Peppa is wearing a dress... Her entire body is a red dress.

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterZakiya

My kids love Peppa Pig. Nice, pleasant show. The fun part is the kids have picked up British accents and certain British words like petrol!

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterLaurie

Floppy man dong FTW

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterClare

No wonder my toddler calls her "Pecker Pig"! She also loves the "Teemage Nutant MINJA Turtles".

November 29, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterChristy Gentz

That last one, I can't un-see it... Yikes!

November 30, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterChicago

Now next to clown cakes I have a new fear... Peppa Pig cakes.. oh dear those are horrid lol.

November 30, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterArlene Marie

THE PLACEMENT OF THAT SMILE... O_o

November 30, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterJessica

So much for the quality of 100% natural colors....

By the way, the runny images are not just the cakewreckers' fault. They come from a "vendor foil": http://www.dreemway.co.uk/product_images/l/574/Peppa_Pig__75904_zoom.jpg

November 30, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterAlison in Indiana

I think those are meringues, not cookies, hence the weird texture. Hideous either way.

November 30, 2016 | Unregistered Commenterchel

... the haramest t'ing I ever see...

November 30, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterAbdul

I'm glad I'm done w/lunch and drinking my diet Coke or it would be ALL OVER my PC screen. That first Peppa Pig cake must be a ZOMBIE Peppa Pig. Yeah. That's right, a ZOMBIE Peppa Pig. :-)

November 30, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterKaty
