What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Step One: Cut a Hole in the Pumpkin

I can't think of a more Wrecktastic harbinger of Halloween happiness than this guy:

Yep, Mr. Bonehead here suuure is happy. How happy, you ask? Happy enough to say, "Look, ma! No hands!"

Dorei, just tell the kids it's a levitation trick. Which really startles the pumpkin.

I just want to know how he got that swirly spine at his neck. Ouch!

And this gives a whole new meaning to the term "JACK-o-lantern." ;-)

Nothing says "Happy Holidays!" quite like a snowman sitting on a skeleton holding a Thanksgiving gourd just waiting for the Easter Bunny. And may I say, they do look happy.

And may I also say, "SuBee, you are awesome!"

With the snowman, skeleton, and pumpkin, this could be a cake for Hallowthankmas! (When stores combine all three holidays into one.)

October 28, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterWendyK

Humans do not generally have a baculum, so this skeleton is either that of a mutant or a non-human animal.

(Though that skull-sized neck bone also worries me)

In addition to his other problems, that skeleton has a GIANT goiter. He better get that looked at.
