You're not going to believe this, but the doll is made of modeling chocolate. YES, REALLY. This baker is mind-blowingly talented, and she seems to specialize in sculpting edible Blythes.

Monster High!!
From my casual browsing, it appears there are about eleventy billion different Monster High dolls to collect. Which is awesome, but also kind of overwhelming. See, in MY day, young whippersnappers, we just had Barbie, Skipper, Ken, and their stable full of My Little Ponies.

I totally Googled "Cabbage Patch Kid cakes". I was not disappointed.
I have to say, that, even though it is well done, I find the BLYTHE doll with the rabbit ears totally creepy. All the others are very cute! Love your site!
I won't let my kids have anything to do with Lalaloopsy because I can't stand those creepy black eyes. If they were any other color, maybe. Otherwise, gorgeous cakes.

the only trouble with the gorgeous cakes you show on sunday is that is a crying shame to cut them - and i know they are delicious. thank goodness they can live forever in pictures.

Cabbage Patch kids are creepy, edible or not.
I googled Cabbage Patch Kid cakes and now have seen baby heads coming out of green vaginas.

I must learn when told to NOT do something to heed said advice. Yep, I did it..I ventured into the images of Cabbage Patch doll cakes. <shudder>..those bodyless heads will be haunting my nightmares tonight...wonder how many kids are in therapy becuase of them? TODAY'S cakes well, take the cake...gorgeous! and yes, who could cut Raggesdy's face! and looking at Laloopsie and those big eyed doll things all I can say is, thank God I have boys!

The cakes all show amazing talent, even the Lalaloopsies are cute. I'm totally with John on the dolls, though, they creep me out! I teased my son that he would have bad dreams of the doll visiting him in the night if one of the actual dolls touched him. I love 8 year old boys!
These cakes are so adorable! The only disappointment is the final lala loopsy cake. I thought the ferris wheel looked more like plastic than fondant, and a quick google search revealed that it is in fact a toy. The cake is still beautiful (especially the button details!), but it is a bit of a let down to know the show-stopping feature is a toy.
And for the record, the Sailor Moon/Cabbage Patch doll cake is the most unexpectedly adorable thing I've ever seen!

Oh my sweetness, all these cakes were awesome, but I have to say (and I I think I've got 15 yrs on you), the Raggedy Ann doll just whisked me back to age 10 in an instant! I had full sized Ann and Andy dolls from the early 70s. Oh man, I just loved them. It's the only thing that can really bring me back that far. Wish I had them now, but they got damaged in the house fire... Ah well... life happens...
Yes, the sheer amount of Monster High dolls is why I'm always broke. Oops!
These cakes are pretty awesome, I wouldn't have complained about a post of nothing but LaLaOopsey! (You should buy a bunch!)

As Anna pointed out, on the last cake the ferris wheel, the dolls and their accessories are all plastic toys. I know because my daughter has them all. Not that I'm complaining though; it's still a beautiful cake and hey, the birthday girl probably got to keep the decorations so, win-win! And just to nit pick a tiny bit more, the Cabbage Patch cake (which is mind blowing in it's detail) is not a Sailor Moon crossover. Back in the 80s, little girls sometimes wore sailor tops and dresses having nothing to do with anime cosplay. I know because I was there and was made to wear them myself :)

I would seriously live a Sock Monkey cake. I didn't have Barbie dolls when I was a kid (We DID get a knock off the first Christmas my Mim and step-Dad got married but our German Shepherd at the feet off mine Christmas morning...
My Sock Monkey was beloved. Unfortunately, he got thrown into the river by my friend (at least that's how I remember his demise) when I was 5.
I cannot get over the "skirt" cakes. I NEVER thought I'd see a good one of those, let alone several STUNNING ones!!
My 3-year-old son is intermittently fond of Lalaloopsy. My husband, thanks to Coraline, is decidedly not. Myself, I think some of the commercials and toy variations are MUCH creepier than the standard figures, without needing to bring Gaiman references into it at all. (Talking chihuahuas in wigs? Swappable body parts?) Those cakes, however, are adorable.

The Cabbage Patch cake is sort of like those baby cakes; how could anyone cut into it without feeling like a murderer?
